Hello all,
New member here, from SC. I stumbled on this thread a while ago and used it as a guide to build some universal speaker stands for vintage speakers. I ended up making several sets and listed them in my Etsy store. Just wanted to share the link here:

Available in black as well as real walnut veneer from reclaimed speaker cabs.
Thank you for looking! -

Wow. My Idea is being mass produced. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. I guess I feel flattered. They're not identical but they are close.

Pretty close, but with a tilt back and real walnut veneer.
Well, I've learned that I wasn't allowed to post my Etsy link here, but it's too late to edit my first post. I'm guessing it will get deleted sooner or later.
Either way, this thread was helpful in guidance for building these basic speaker stands. For my modern speakers I prefer taller stands, but many vintage speakers I've had just sound better closer to, but not on, the floor. I guess they were voiced with boundary reinforcement in mind.
Thank you to all who contributed to this thread! -
Westmasguy: your September 2014 photos won’t come up, from your 7b’s. Is it possible to repost those? Would appreciate your measurements and photos. Thanks

I’ll be honest, I copied these for my monitor 7s when I had them. I just used a different color but they turned out great. -

I'm happy to know that several people have copied the stands I made for my monitor 10s so many years ago. I hope people continue to do so. This forum has helped me a lot and It's nice to know I was able to contribute something to help others.

Hey, welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. Just a quick heads up, it's prohibited to self-promote your own listings outside of the Flea Market area. There are also other rules you must abide by in order to post there, you can find the rules here.
I understand that you were simply trying to help and were technically on subject, so for that reason I won't be deleting your post. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out.
On a side note, those are some nice looking stands, we might need to get us a pair for the office
Best,
The Polk Audio Team -
Just got some 10's and this thread helped a lot. Granted mine are not as nice as some, but for 30 bucks.
-
hey, if they hold up the loudspeakers, they're fit for purpose.
They look just fine to me (FWIW) -- 'specially for 30 smackers.
Welcome to the forum!
