Come on guys, we're better than this. Yes I know his full history here and I realize it's tempting to tease PFB and honestly that was my first instinct when I saw the thread, but on the chance this is actually for real and the guy is without a job let's show a little compassion.

Hope things work out for you, good luck with the new job search.

Some managers want to hear it, some don't.
The real trick is not saying anything until you're sure.
And yes, how you say it is pretty important.

You didn't get fired for being awesome. You got fired for being someone your employer no longer wanted working there. Grow up and take a little responsibility.

John has it right, above: I guess the McDonald's manager got tired of watching PFB drop the customers' food on the ground. lol

BTW, Dude. You have some of the "worst" communication skills I have ever seen. You can hardly put together a coherent paragraph. Who would hire you for anything but Xeroxing?

But really, I never considered the fact that you actually had any job; I always thought you were a TRUST FUND BABY!

Are you familiar with the "Boy Who Cried Wolf"? Really, we're supposed to "believe" anything PFB says when his record here looks like a bad reality show! How do we even CONFIRM he has been fired? Take HIS word for it? Sorry!

No, I just think there is way more to this story that we're not hearing. That is if it isn't just a grand mummery to give us cause to believe the claims of "awesomeness" in a stupendous fit of underestimation and the claimant's pursuit that we have all suffered severe head trauma in our unfortunate plummeting from the posterior of a turnip truck.

I've run my mouth in the past to management that I wasn't too fond of. The managers made my life difficult but I was on my way out of both places of my own accord anyway. I did not feel that my employment was threatened because I had enough of the foolishness I was privy to and opened my mouth as I'm wont to do and spoke out against the idiocy I was subjected to. One manager did end up under investigation after he went to HR over my claims and they found his ethical standard to be undesirable. He resigned his position about 4 months after I moved on myself.

In other words, people don't get canned just because they mouthed off a bit to management about ways they thought things could be improved. At least that's not the actionable offense. It's far too full of liability in regards to a wrongful termination suit to be worth the risk. In today's litigious society, you get canned, they have some evidence against you to support the decision. Even if it is spurious, all it has to do is hold up in court to provide reasonable doubt to the wrongful termination.

Legally you do not need a valid reason to terminate some ones employment here in North Dakota otherwise I could sue them. Not saying I would as I dont want to work for a company that does not mirror my thoughts.

While I agree with you, he doesn't seem too broken up about it. In this day and age if you lose your job, you're not making light of it on an internet forum. If that's me, I am making copies of my resume and trying my hardest to get another job. His track record here certainly doesn't afford him the benefit of the doubt and the way that the story is relayed doesn't make it surprising that he was terminated. "Being awesome" apparently means being an insubordinate, disrespectful employee who doesn't know when to shut the F up (much like his tenure here).

Your employer respectfully disagrees with you as well.

Also in a right to work state you can fire for any or no reason. It's legally easier/better to fire for no reason than the wrong reason!

............. I dont want to work for a company that does not mirror my thoughts.

This is your first mistake bro.

Having ideas/suggestions for management consideration should not end in termination. It's all in your delivery/presentation to upper management. Using a little tact when doing so will result in a win/win effort, after all you're presenting ideas that should benefit not only yourself but the company as a whole.

No single company on this earth is going to mirror your every single thought, unless you're running it. Not sure what you're doing for a career, but if you're good with electronics, electrical schematics, solid state devices, hydraulics, and are a people person I may be able to connect you with a John Deere dealer as a tech. They're always looking for people in that region, no promises but I can make some calls and see what's out there given you're qualified. Inbox me if you think you are.

If that's the case, then start your own company. Mirror your thoughts ?? Why the heck should they ? It's not your coin on the line. How about the next guy...should they mirror his thoughts too ? Childish PFB....seriously dude. The real world doesn't work like they may have told you in school.

That said, I'm sorry you lost your job, it sucks to lose a job especially in todays economy. Call it a lesson learned, next time STFU unless asked for your suggestions.

Now if I was your boss, and some dude came into my office wearing skinny jeans and blabbing about how I could do my job better, you'd probably have gotten the same results.

Interesting, he couldn't drive because his license was suspended (back in July 2012). I thought he didn't have a license until recently and his wife drove him around because of the car accident he witnessed his father in (or some story like that). He supposedly just recently got his license and then bought the Porsche so he could race Honda Civics from stop light to stop light...

I always figure when stories don't add up...they don't add up.

I would recommend the military to PFB, but I wouldn't want to send our troops into harms way with PFB possibly having to watch their six.

I looked back on his e-bay Porsche thread - he didn't get his license until 2013. I wonder how his license was suspended in 2012 when he didn't have one? When he later stated that he would get it back in 3 months. 1+1=0.
