Hello looking over craigslist there's a pair or 10A's in my area for $175 they seem to be in very good condition. Also there are some Klipsch 4.5 for $150 also seem to be in good condition. Which would you choose? I like some nice bass but really like detailed Mids and highs..
Cheers

I paid over $200 for mine, as soon as I saw how nice they were I grabbed them, cause I figured I would not see another pair 10's again that nice. loved the sound from them though I gonna fully mod them to make them even better
I have no idea whats a good price for them except I choose to buy them when I finally got a chance so supply & demand made me pay more2 ch- Polk CRS+ * Vincent SA-31MK Preamp * Vincent Sp-331 Amp * Marantz SA8005 SACD * Project Xperience Classic TT * Sumiko Blue Point #2 MC cartridge

BTW Mystery I'm just in Frederick Colorado about 25 minutes north of denver.
What's better out of the SDA'S and 10's? -
Yeah guess I should just be patient and hope some sdas come on Craigslist soon.. but since I'm looking for them they probably want. Lol
-
lol....I thought you told me you had already bought the Klipsch?!?--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -

Nope never got them. I offered him $150 and he accepted but I never went. Think I'm going to wait for some sdas.
The room is on main floor and pretty open. Would guess the main area they are is around 20x20 and 15ft vaulted ceiling. I currently have a Marantz SR63 receiver.
Power output: 70 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz
Total harmonic distortion: 0.07%
Damping factor: 70
Input sensitivity: 3.5mV (MM), 220mV (line)
Signal to noise ratio: 75dB (MM), 82db (line)
I also have a onkyo tx nr509 but it's getting fixed right now
Details
80 Watt - 8 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.7% - 5 channel(s) ( surround )
110 Watt - 6 Ohm - at 1 kHz - THD 0.9% - 5 channel(s) ( surround ) -
ahhhh, I misunderstood you. In that size room those big DIY's would fill that space with sound! Perhaps the guy with SDA's will get back to ya.--Gary--

Yup. 10's good. Good size room = SDA's had it been smaller i woulda said Monitor 7's.... But your going to need some more power if SDA's..

10's are pretty good but $175 is high unless they have peerless tweeter.
I sold a pair with peerless for $150 and another pair with silver dome tweeters for $100.

"pioneers by Andrew Jones" the floor stadning ones or the bookshelf ones? If you have the bookies, add a subwoofer. I heard that combo and was shocked on how good it sounded. The pioneer Andrew Jones bookeis to me is the best new speaker for 129 a pair. Even if you have the floor standing ones, I still say add a sub and call it a day.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

My nephew just grabbed a nice pair of 10a's for $125.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
-
How are these? Seems to be a few known issues. Still worth it?

How do they compare to the 10's and sda's

I just rebuilt a pair for a customer out of Boston. They are excellent. Image beautifully, and very tight bass. In my opinion, better than the 10s in many areas. They can be upgraded easily, including the "TL" Mod.Home Theater/2 Channel:

I'd also take those RTA11t's over the Monitor 10 everyday and twice on Sunday.... -
Still a good deal at $80 with the know issues? $100 for upgrade replacement tweets and $50 for the replacement mid bass. So that would put me In $230..

looks like the one guy still has the SDA 1C. But still haven't gotten a price yet. Haven't heard from the Guy with the Monitor 11t yet. If i do hear from him also. which would you say out of the SDA and 11t?
-
Couldn't really find any info but what's the different between the RTA 11t & monitor 11t?
-
So the RTA 11t is the same as the monitor 11t, just the RTA is older?
-
I could be wrong, but I also think at some point they badged the RTA series as Monitors. Those I don't know the difference between, if there were any.
My minty RTA 11Ts are badged Monitor 11T, not to be confused with the Monitor 11 (a rare bird). The RTA 11Ts and the Monitor 11Ts are identical, as far as I know. I don't know if one is consistently older than the other. The drivers in mine were stamped in 1990. They are truly a very nice sounding speaker. I don't know if I'd put them above my Monitor 10Bs (with most all suggested mods, less those of updating the crossovers), but the 10Bs were my first Polks and my first "real" speakers so I may be a bit biased there, for sentimental reasons. The 11Ts are currently stock. -

The 11s are your best bet. They're great speakers. You need to get your eyes and ears on them thoughHome Theater/2 Channel:
