I realized I have never heard this song on my 2-ch system until now!
I never had any digital version of ELP until I just got this CD. I have Trilogy and a couple other later ELP on vinyl, but never snagged their 1st on vinyl. Man, this is epic, on my 3rd replay 🤩
Moog heaven...or is it Hammond heaven?

Tom, it is an old favorite for me. I think I had the cassette back in the 80s. (The CD was reissued with additional tracks in '94, but the original reason on vinyl/cassette was '80)

Gotta love a night after USPS delivers a stack of used CDs/SACDs.
This ended up being a fraction of a good vinyl copy (I've had a bad copy for 20+ years).
This DSD version (mofi) isn't perfect, but it's miles better than my vinyl, especially in the quieter sections.

If you heard this at a party back in the early 90s, you could expect good things to happen if you stuck around...
Another cheap (relatively) SACD grab. It is a worthwhile upgrade over the CD if you are a big fan.
If you've never heard this album, it's worth listen, even the CD (or streaming) version. It could easily be placed in reference level category. Do not enter if you haven't been to confession lately...

Funny you should say that...this was last night also, but I didn't feel compelled to post it. Although it is considered one of the golden era albums, I don't enjoy it near as much as B-fast in A.

I have come to enjoy the Denafrips greatly. At first, I thought it was a little dull compared to the "air" that a typical delta-sigma DAC has, especially with modern electronic music, but over time, I have found that the bass and the soft detail is much better with the Aries II compared to my 10 year old Teac. It is also less fatiguing with bright recordings and female vocals. At some point, I may pickup a newer AKM velvet DAC if the price is right and do a comparison, but that may never happen.

Against my better judgement, I bought this new third man pressing.
So far, 6 ticks on song one. Guess I'll try the ultra sound cleaner on it.
Musically and sound is otherwise good.
