    I've worn out two LPs of this album over the years due to the amount I played it.

    For some reason I had never listened to Whistling Down the Wire. I found an absolutely pristine LP...like new...maybe had never been played. There was certainly not a single click or pop on either side. I put it on the table expecting some more great music from these two. Not to be. The album was poorly recorded, Crosby and Nash sounded flat and...IMO....just boring. This was their last album as a duo...and if it was the first album I had heard by them I would probably never picked up another. Fortunately that was not the case. Maybe they were bored...or maybe just burned out.

    I wondered if it is just me...so I found a few reviews on various internet sites. Several just raved about this album. I don't see it. Only a couple gave it low marks...so maybe it is just me. Either way...it was disappointing...to expect so much...and get so little.
