"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Got the tubes all warmed up and the rig is sounding so good tonight. I absolutely love grooving to some well recorded music.

Are you aware this was recorded with something called QSound.

QSound was around in the 90's. It was a quasi-surround/soundstage expanding effect done during the final mixdown.

Here is some info on QSound:

    http://www.qsound.com/technology/3d-audio.htm

    http://www.qsound.com/spotlight/users/recording-artists.htm

I doubt it is used much today...At least I'm not awarey of anything new.

I haven't noticed on anything recent. Q sound is fun if it is used judiciously.

I think they are focusing on software for laptop, desktop and mobile device applications...primarily for gaming and video enhancement.

Side 2 is so good (especially "Tupelo Honey" and "Moonshine Whiskey"), it is getting a repeat play this evening!
