Not trying to take any credit. I am just floored by the behavior of one of our servicemen! Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate what our servicemen and women do for this country. But some, like you, need to reconsider what's worth fighting and what is not! I mean really....you got all worked up over something so trivial? Then to make the comparison you did just really surprised me.

I am sure Polk will fix you up. If I was them I would pack the correct woofer in a box of tampons before I shipped it to you. Happy New Year! :)

That is all fine and well. And I am happy for you. But you are missing the point here. IT IS JUST A WRONG WOOFER YOU GOT. IT WILL BE FIXED. Your personal career has nothing to do with the problem of getting the wrong woofer.

I'm done....hope you get your speakers up and running....

Careful. The problem with being perfect and expecting perfection is that everyone makes a mistake. Then we have blow-ups over something as trivial as receiving the wrong replacement speaker.

A few of you say grow up, but I can say none of you have had the duty of contact a family and telling them their love one is not coming home due to a mistake, so as I say I take mistake very seriously. The worst was going to a fallen member home who was a single parent and telling his 12yr son and 14yr old daughter daddy not coming home. So maybe I've seen to much and become less tolerate our oh well crap happen culture.

It is a very good thing that proper grammar is not one of those things that would get you killed. If I had to read instructions from you, based on the example above, we would all be dead by now because of your mistakes.

Most drama about a replacement woofer... ever. Poor customer service, imo, would be the retailer not answering your phone calls, returning your emails, not making things right. Be glad you never bought anything from AV123, Epik, eD. I bet there are guys still waiting for their stuff from warranty.

I'm sure polk would have held off processing my order if my card was decline.

So how would you feel if you made a mistake and used the wrong card that was expired and Polk posted a thread on here stating how someone tried to order a speaker with a phony card?
    F1nut wrote: »
Let's take a look at that. So, if your card was declined instead of posting on the Internet that you are a deadbeat customer, they would have contacted you to inform you of the situation and waited for you to respond. You, if at all possible, would either give them the proper card number or use a different valid card.

    See how that works now!?!

That's how I took it, very well put.
In my line of work mistake can get you killed, so I take very personal when I pay up front for something and I don't get what I ask for.

Here's the thing, I commend you for your service, have great respect for military and LEO. There's a lot of people here that are in the line of work that when mistakes happen, people get hurt, I personally don't feel you should have brought this to the table.

If you were clearing a room and the guy behind you was interested in the Xbox on the table instead of looking out for you, then this is where mistakes can get you killed. But we're talking speakers, and I know that in your line of work it's a basis for survival to be focused so this is where you need to suppress your anger and not bash someone before they have a chance to make it right.

The world isn't perfect, people make mistakes...if Polk refused to make it right for their screw up this will be the first I've heard of it.

I feel strongly about a popular adage.....'To err is human, to forgive is divine"

If Polk sent you the wrong woofer 3 times in a row, then I would start to get concerned, not at the first mishap.

I won't include all, but many make me laugh, as you try your best at being Dr. Phil or something. making uneducated assumption about my life and my family. From the various comments, I take that many have never had real responsibility where your action or even inaction have far reaching effects on others. But I won't hold that against anyone, for its not a life style some can function in. I am a type A personality and goal driven, My success in life have been that I push myself to be better each day and not accept being average.

And due to my hard work ethic and not accepting being average, I was able to buy homes for my sons (cash deals) and give them a leg up in life, allowing them to be able to provide more opportunities for my grandkids.

Snuck it in at the wire. Trey, these cdms have two sets of caps. The one set doesnt seem to want to come out very easily and i dont want to force anything. Would have to ship entire speakers which would cost a bit. They are pretty heavy bookies.
