I order a replacement woofer for one of RTi4 I got for my son, wharf arrived today was a 6" woofer part #6519-1 that won't even fit in the enclosure. Is this the normal quality of support I should expect from polkaudio? Now I have to wait until Monday to contact them about this screw up. The packing slip had the correct info but whoever was the part picker can't read.

Mistakes do happen, but I agree it is very irritating. At the least, I would expect the correct part to be overnighted, and you return the other at your leisure.

Maybe it's because you ordered a wharf instead of a woofer.

You got a wrong part, it happens. Polk will take care of it. B!tching about it before giving them a chance to correct the situation is childish.

In my line of work mistake can get you killed, so I take very personal when I pay up front for something and I don't get what I ask for. I'm sure polk would have held off processing my order if my card was decline.

I'm going to go out in in a limb and guess manufacturing speakers is not your line of work, so trying to compare the two and Contrast the mistakes between the two with loss of life is idiotic. Seriously. Grow up, call them Monday and move on. Mistakes happen, Polk will make it right and life will go on. If you die from it, you got problems.

A few of you say grow up, but I can say none of you have had the duty of contact a family and telling them their love one is not coming home due to a mistake, so as I say I take mistake very seriously. The worst was going to a fallen member home who was a single parent and telling his 12yr son and 14yr old daughter daddy not coming home. So maybe I've seen to much and become less tolerate our oh well crap happen culture.

Because that is relevant to the topic at hand. You're grasping at straws at best trying to compare a mismatched driver order with life and death. It's also making you sound real intelligent to boot. Grow up junior.

Listen guys, polk screwed up and they owe the guy an apology. I am sure they will make it right for the inconvenience they have caused. Telling this guy to grow up repeatedly does nothing but infuriate this guy but you already new that so who really needs to grow up on this thread.

Hello, recoveryone and good evening to you. These type of threads really disappoint me. Nobody and no company is perfect 100 percent of the time. To expect otherwise is not being realistic.

Where the disappointment comes is when a mistake was made [most likely a honest human mistake] and instead of simply notifying Polk that a mistake had been made and requesting that it be corrected in a timely manner, folks come out guns-a-blazin' on an open public forum publicly blasting Polk. All this during a time that is after hours, during a holiday season and on top of that, on a weekend when Polk isn't even open or available to respond or correct your unfortunate situation in a professional manner.

To answer your question, no. This is not what you should expect from Polk. This is not what one should expect from any company but the plain fact of the matter is that mistakes do happen. Especially when you add in the human element. In the grand scheme of things, let's say that you may have to wait an additional 5 days for this to be resolved. Is life so bad without this woofer that an additional 5 day period [if that] warrants a public bashing of a company that has a long standing reputation of providing outstanding customer service without even giving the courtesy of allowing Polk to make things right for you?

Think about that for a second. Then enjoy your evening and relax a little bit. Polk will make this right for you. With an unwarranted public bashing or not. Happy Holidays to you and your son.

My concern over the quality of service is the same as yours when you want something you been waiting for. And for those of you that so concern over my health, I am in better shape than many of you at my current age of 52. But thanks for the concern. So you can all stop defending polk's support staff as the mistake was theirs and not mine and on Monday they will be made fully aware of it.

I'm sure polk would have held off processing my order if my card was decline[d].

Let's take a look at that. So, if your card was declined instead of posting on the Internet that you are a deadbeat customer, they would have contacted you to inform you of the situation and waited for you to respond. You, if at all possible, would either give them the proper card number or use a different valid card.

    See how that works now!?!

Posting about it is one thing, but continuing to **** about it is another, relax a little, they will take care of it, I just went through it my self, and I knew just posting about it would help get it resolved, and it did..

Good customer service is not about everything being perfect, it's also about how they rectify a mistake, and trust me they will..

Your first post was all that was needed, there is nothing wrong with a little venting due to being frustrated, the difference on my part is I made phone calls before I posted, and I knew posting would help, and I didn't continue to **** about it, I have been a long time Polk customer, and out of all my travels with them I have only had this one, and only issue, I would say they are doing their job just fine...

I express my concern to find out if this is a common theme and I should look else where like parts express for future replacements of parts of some other resource.

Naw, it's not a common theme. Just an unfortunate situation. Polk will take care of this as soon as they see it and I can almost guarantee you that nap or Ken will have your inquiry forwarded to the customer service department well before Monday even hits. You are welcome, BTW. Just trust that they will take care of you.

So how many times have you ordered from Polk and got the wrong order? I am guessing this is the first time. So how many times have you ordered something online and got the wrong item? I am guessing this is the first time. And how the heck do you have the nerve to compare getting the wrong woofer to having to tell someones kids that their Daddy is not coming home?

You are talking like a complete and utter fool! To compare the two you just did...really? I hope you do not carry the senseless rage and attitude over such a simple mistake in your daily life and job. You really need to step back and take a deep breath!

I for one have never ever heard the comparison of working in the military and repair a friggin' stereo speaker together! WOW!
