    Update:
I'm changing my mind and saying that the photos possibly represent the same car because the window is rolled down in one of the photos, thereby exposing the rubber weatherstripping. No matter what, this thread is the most entertaining of all the threads on CP!

Dang, I was just about to say that since I went to re-look again.

I defer again to the fact that PFB isnt known to have the most steady hands (broken binding post) or feet (broken PJ screen) so the pics are going to be inherantly blurry

    All in jest PFB.

Glad your enjoying, try not to wreck it or if you do, at least post a bunch of pics of it....

Oh dear God who cares? Some of you need to get a life all'ready. If the single most important thing in your life is whether some poor shmuck on the forum does or doesn't own a Porsche then there you have way too much time on your hands :))

Not that I truly give a happy crap if PFB actually owns this or any other car out there but odds are he likely does, think about it for a minute if he was actually lying about this whole thing he could have posted pics long ago from pics found online.

    REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Plus the fact that Tony could always just contact the buyer from the ebay listing I sent him and confirm everything?

Thats the best last post ever for this thread lmfao, I think russel tossing the spear represents me posting pics of the actual car and the tray of silver drinking goblets being was the naysayers.

Its actually auto and manual thats porsche calls 'triptronic'. Basically next to the drive I can just slap it to the left and then do the gears bymyself on the steering wheel.

No, it's an auto. Tiptronic, not triptronic.

It's an automatic with the ability to interfere electronically with the shift patterns (which is a LOT slower than leaving it in sport mode or a real automatic). Tiptronic is a joke, a bad one too. If it had DSG or PDK like the new ones then maybe I'd brag about it. Otherwise it's useless except for holding a gear in passing. A real manual has a clutch in there somewhere, which you don't have.

Not sure how you deduced that from my paragraph, Sherlock. You need to go back and work on your comprehension skills.
Also, that would be "you're saying" not "your saying".

I have driven many Porsche Boxsters, including the first one sold in this state way back in 1998. The Tiptronic function is terrible, the manual is much better.

I drive something that can actually as you put it: "get behind the wheel and kick some **** at the lights"

You are seeing the hard edge to the soft top in the first photo. The photo is poor, so you can't see the texture of the canvas, but they are the same car.

BTW, Even though I think an automatic trans in a Porsche is blasphemy, I think he will be better off. It will keep him from dumping the clutch at stoplights and ruining the car.

Enjoy it while you can PFB. Winter is FAST approaching up there, so please heed the advice of preparing the car now for a long winter slumber. If you plan on driving it through the winter, I doubt you will be driving it for very long. These cars are NOT known for their handling in wet weather, much less three feet of snow, and the salt will absolutely ruin the car in short order.

Congrats on the car! I would have opted for a manual though. But I guess baby steps are in order here.
