I think the ebay seller is having it flown in attached to a Chinook helicopter which will then be reported as having crashed just before entering PFB's state of North Dakota (or South Dakota, depending on who you ask).

I keep clicking into this thread wanting to see pictures of the new ride, boo hiss...

Same. I couldn't bring myself to buy a new car sight unseen, much less a used high maintenance sports car. He's got guts, I'll give him that...

....hope you didn't get caught up on this ebay scam....titles and all. Good Luck. FBI identified the scammers today.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24662263

The FBI put out a wanted poster for 33-year-old Romanian Nicolae Popescu, charging him with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

"They siphoned funds from victims to fuel their greedy desires and created false identities, fake websites and counterfeit certificates of title in order to make the scheme more convincing," said FBI Assistant Director, George Venizelos.

"Popescu and his co-conspirators were masters of illusion, but they can't escape their ultimate reality.

Just got the title in the mail today and my delivery date should be around Thursday.

Oh, the suspense is killing me!

OK, PFB, time to put up or mute! What's the word? When's the delivery date? Where's the pics? We're all quite certain you should have a specific delivery date set since it's HIGHLY unlikely that they'd just drop a car off in your driveway and leave if you're not there to accept it.

Can you link it to the ebay sale that PBF supposedly bought it from?

PBF said he couldn't do that because he needs to protect the privacy of the seller which is just nuts like this thread.

    I'd rather talk about politics.

I shared the link with Tony so he has saw it and the vin number. Well I spoke to the driver on the phone Today and there is a delay so it looks like it will be Sinday. The seller was supposed to meet with the shipper on Sunday but did not etc..

Teekay you are correct, the car will not be brought to my home. I have to go meet the driver at a place he is familiar with and get it from there. I just spoke to my seller and the car is perfect with not even a scratch on it and it carries full insurance so I will be snapping pictures and loading them up if I make it home as I intend to be speeding on the way. Ohhhh those tires will be burning up!!!!!!!

I will concur, PFB did share the Ebay listing with me. I told him however that I would stfu and let him have the glory of posting it here. Which btw, I still intend to keep that agreement PFB. Whenever your ready, let it rip.

One thing though, pics of you naked driving the thing would really enhance our entertainment around here. Ok, maybe not you, how about the wife, she seems adventurous. After all, she's married to you. LOL

Why is it taking so long to get this car, did they have trouble pulling it out of the lake or something?

Well I got my car today and I am in lurrrvvvv, I took it on the interstate for some fast driving in the dark. If I had to describe the boxster and how it handles then the word would be ' playstation 3 on wheels'. This little beast can wave in and out of traffic like nothing and it just responds to every command with discipline. Its sexy as hell to look at with the 911 rims and front and rear headlights, when you see this from the front it just looks like a 911.

Well the bad news is that there was small dibbles of water when I the jets came on hard at the car wash. When the water was pouring normal it was fine but when it was real heavy those little drips came from the middle of the driver side and had to press my finger on it and it stopped. The cup holder on the passenger side does not pop out and there is a small crack in the leather.

Appart from that its all worked out in the end and I am thrilled to bits. The stereo is not going to get me loving the ride so I will have to do some major updating but its good for now I suppose. Have not had a chance to take a bunch of pictures but plenty of time for that

Please, as an unexperienced driver, DON"T TAKE CHANCES.
Weaving in and out of traffic may seem fun, but you will
put yourself at great risk pretty fast. One sudden stop or lane
change by another driver and you will have your first accident.
It's not a PS3. No reset button is going to restart the game.

    PFB,
Rule no.1 has already been broken. Don't take a convertible to those automatic car washes.....or in short order you'll find out how expensive it is to replace that top.
