Vegas odds puts it at 50-1 that riding shotgun with PFB won't get you 2 blocks before meeting a pole.

I put 100 bucks down on those odds.

He said "Being picked up Sunday."

I take that to mean that the car is being picked up from the seller on Sunday. From NH to SD will be at least a couple days.

Please, not South Dakota. Fargo (and PFB) is definitely in North Dakota - they drew that line where it is for a good reason...

Eh...ND/SD, all the same to me. He doesn't have his location in his sig and I couldn't remember for sure, but I knew it was in the Dakotas.

I was just going through all the receipts for repairs that was enclosed with the title and one caught my eye. It was for a car stereo shop and there was $369 worth of audio goodies just put in there a couple of months ago. There were two sets of Alpine speakers ....

I do not yet know about the seperates but the labor charge was $130 for the install and $55 for installing the speakers. I wonder if the aplines I linked are garbage?

No, in a few days PFB can put this thread to an end with a bunch of glossy shots of his new ride. Some here might want a copy of the Shipping Invoice or transferred Title though for sufficient proof to an actual transaction.

Hopefully, if the thread does die soon, it'll be revived when PFB gets those big new rims on it....or when he (or his wife/driver) wraps it around something. ;-p

I don't think anyone ever asked for a title or shipping invoice. He claimed he bought it on ebay and then said he didn't want to post the link because someone here might mess up his purchase. He should be okay to post the ebay link at this point as the carrier from New Jersey has already travelled across several states to pick it up and should be nearly to North Dakota by now.

I think a few of us are justified in our skepticism of many aspects of this story.

I have shared the link to the ebay listing already, just not on this thread for the privacy of my seller. So lets put that to rest right now as its just trivial and I really could not care less if some people do not believe I bought it from ebay.

Neg, he'll walk into the garage in the dark and knock his new flat panel over onto the hood, shattering both.

Good for you, PFB, for saying this properly. Too many members around here say, "I could care less!"

PFB's car delivery date and the first snow of the season happening at the same time, a coincidence? I think not! :-p

Privacy of my seller????? It's a public auction!!!! Ebay protects the privacy of the seller not you. Showing the ebay listing doesn't expose the seller but it may indicate that this story is a fairy tail.

Now....what would be better than seeing PFB in skinny jeans, scarf, driving his new Porsche.....top down, with snow accumulation on the inside ? That alone is worth the price of admission. He could even make a snow wife for the passenger seat. Maybe give himself some snow balls too. LOL....

PFB, remember this is a public forum. As such I personally would not provide specific personal info as to name and location of youself and the car for security reasons. The curiosity seekers will get over it.

I think the ebay seller is having it flown in attached to a Chinook helicopter which will then be reported as having crashed just before entering PFB's state of North Dakota (or South Dakota, depending on who you ask).

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
