Administrators - if you haven't done so already, try looking for a file that exposes a vulnerability and remove it. Thanks for what you are doing.....and on the weekend nonetheless..... and best of luck for a speedy resolution. FWIW, some folks can not see what the admin's post reads. If anybody can see it, would you be so kind as to cut and paste the message here so that we could read it please?

To the Club Polk Forum members...consider this a good opportunity to stop posting and start listening....

It is a side effect of the hack. The display option is missing from the bottom of the page. Why the hack affects that option is maybe a clue to fixing the hack, or maybe not.

What does this mean? Have they hacked nap's account now??

No, that looks to be communication between Nap and the admin as to what he sees as the redirect. The widescreen stuff will most likely have to wait until the hack has been successfully removed, unfortunately.

If anybodies CP forum password is the same as their password for sensitive information elsewhere, I'd be changing the password to the elsewhere ASAP.

He's working on it now Jesse....

It seems as if this is a widespread hack and it's not just vBulletin either. From what I understand, many sites have "fixed" the issue only to have been re-hacked multiple times more or thinking that the issue was corrected when in fact, it wasn't. Some forums are actually experiencing breaches with passwords, e-mails and even administrator level access. This doesn't look to me like it's gonna be as simple as a ticket being created, upgrade to the latest version [though I'm sure another version will be coming out very soon due to this] and a reboot to before all of this started.

Did anybody happen to notice any lines missing starting from about 4 days ago? Specifically the bottom few lines on the forum main page....

I don't think it's limited to one hack, John and I don't think it's associated with any kind of virus. I just ran a scan on my computer and nothing came up if that's any consolation.

If they are going to hack something, I wish they'd hack my "post count" data. I'm not someone that posts for no reason just get get my post count to 100. Maybe by the year 2015, I'll finally be able to look at what's for sale in this forum, so I'll know what price stuff sells for on the used market.

What the heck? When I logged out of the sight I can browse like crazy at posts. When I sign back in again I can only get to the page I was looking before signing in. Seems it has something to do with the login maybe. Oh well, I'll check back in a couple of days and see if it still goes to that other "mesothelioma" website, at least I think that's what it says...
