Interestingly the term "hacker" was created by engineers building model trains they would hack different pieces together to create a different train or to fix one or just create new things.

This kind of site is probably an ideal target for real hacker if it's popular with people that have online accounts. With the right sql injection this site could try to make requests to popular bank or credit card sites and if you had one of the said sites logged in on another browser tab. they can make transactions as if they were you. Or they could just post embarrassing crap to your facebook or twitter account.

My machine is pretty well locked down, and my passwords are encrypted.

Got to this thread via Google. Now the forum is being redirected to other sites. Interestingly, this site is now totally **** up the iPad. Polk really needs to their house in order and fix these issues, whether it is hacking or spam.

The believe the issue is with the site, not with the browser one one's pc. So I am not sure a malware scan will make any difference.
I have had the redirect with IE, Firefox and Google Chrome

He's not saying that malware is causing the redirect. He's saying the redirect site is installing malware.

That thread is from the hacker, and goes to their site. There is something going on in the background of this forum that really slows down the iPad response.

They have some work in front of them, for sure.

When you click the "New Posts" link, if you wait at that page for more then a few seconds you get redirected. Certain spots on the forum redirect after a few seconds but others work fine. I wonder if that is because it is half fixed or if it was only half hacked.

The whole point of hacking, and making spam posts, is to get the user to a site that can hijack your PC.

I like the widescreen, I just don't like how bright everything is now....... The dark wood log look was better. Too much white for my taste. ALso being randomly redirected to a mortgage broker site doesn't help either......
