    Its crazy with these threads, when I say wyred 4 sound is garbage on my system then everyone is objective and w4s owners don't cry or accuse one of brand bashing. Say something about how you feel the sound is of an emo to and emo owner and they always start drama

    I'm not trying to start drama, look back and see why I'm on the defensive about the product I choose to own...it's because the people around here chose to define me by my product ownership. No more than get my first post on the board and people are warning me that I better just remain tight lipped about liking Emotiva gear. I don't care that you guys don't like the gear I like, that's fine...more of it for me at cheap prices. Then I'll use the money I saved to invest more in my Roth IRA's and 401k. It's a great deal for me.

    Why don't we all step back, take a breath or even "two" and chill. Really guys, we've been down this road before and it is not a "pretty" or even "desired" thing. Everyone should pocket their "ego" and share a few beers at this point. Lots of members here own Emo gear. No biggie there. No reason for any further pyrotechnics.

    No one needs to "win" any debate; it's a forum not a Socratic search for "Truth" with a capital T. lol

    I don't think Emo has anything to do with it Cody. There are plenty of respected members here with the brand and we have no problems. It is the newbs that come in here with an attitude like this guy that cause all the drama. If Jesse, H9 or anybody else were to buy the brand, they would get a good natured ribbing about it, as I have now that Emo owns Carver tubes... The difference is we don't get all Emoette over it...

    Not sure who was bashing the brand. I heard some opinions and perhaps some facts. I have never heard any Emo gear. I was not bashing it.

    I had no idea, honestly. I never imagined it would have sparked this controversy. I'm not backing down from my position at all, the primarily active community that I've witnessed here is really making me second guess trying to come on here and be a part of it. You all have got your clique with your high post count cronies, and that's fine. Maybe I'll just continue coming here to get the information I need, and not add in to this conversation at all, it was working just fine for me before.

    That statement is just pure bunk.....don't take that as an insult either. Around here we don't blow smoke up each others arses and call it as we see it even if we disagree. It's still OK to agree to disagree in your world ?

    I'm not looking to be confrontational my friend but lets face it, when you throw out comments like that your asking for confrontation.

    tonyb, you apparently didnt read my clarification on that statement. I'm done bringing any more of this stuff up, as this was not the intent of me introducing myself. If you want to read the post, it's back in this mess somewhere. I don't know how many times I can say it, I used the search function to look for exactly what pertained to me, so Id guess you could say I have not been lurking in the traditional sense I guess...more or less, I took advantage of this forums search function and was able to obtain all the information I needed. I don't think that before yesterday I had ever just browsed a subforum and read topics.

    Anyway, nice meeting you all. It's time for me to go about my day. I won't be returning to this thread, so you all are free to flame me as much as you like. See you around.

    Hello all! I wanted to give a quick introduction for myself, and this sub-forum is the perfect place to do that.

    My name is Mark and I'm 26 years old, born and raised in Iowa and now currently live in Anchorage, Alaska. Up until this point in my life I've been happy with the junk of todays electronics and MP3's, but have been shown the light by a co-worker that has nothing better to do than harrass me about audio gear for 12 hours a day. I've been on the hunt for some vintage audio gear around Anchorage, and think I have a decent start. What I've ended up with is;
    Political Correctness'.........defined

    "A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
