Madisound Packing (MR Clarity Caps)

I received my MR Clarity Capacitors today, I was excited, till I opened the box to check them out, I can not believe the way they just put them together, so they could bang around, and crack, and break the blue plastic, "YES" I have pieces of blue plastic in the box. Considering what one pays for these, and waiting for them to get them in stock, "YOU" would think the packing job would be "TOP NOTCH"
And when I call them Monday, I'm sure they will replace the broken ones, but the sad thing is, they are out of stock on the MR 12's, and I'm back to waiting again..
I am very disappointed to say the least..
I will post pics later..

I hate it when it happens like that.
Simple tape would attach them on the box and prevent any movement even if they cheap out on proper packaging.
Hopefully, they'll learn next time.

The MR used to ship in it's own box from CC with fancy purple packing paper..."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Sorry about your troubles. I would have expected better from an audiophile-oriented company like Madisound.
Are you building an external crossover? I know you are not going back to the days of stacking capacitors. Those MR's are 2x to 3x the size of Sonicaps. The MR used to ship in it's own box from CC with fancy purple packing paper...
The folks at Madisound probably keep those fancy boxes for personal holiday gift use.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -

Well they should go back to it, even the leads on the MR 12's are bent all up. The MR 27's, and MR 6.8's look good, only the MR 12's have issues, and, they are the ones I have been waiting for. They could have at least wrapped each capacitor in bubble wrap, "BUT" why do that? Just throw them together around some brown paper, and call it a day.. -

Yes, i'm going for the external crossovers. I'm going to use a piece of delrin, and build them point to point, no crossover board.
I did expect better from them, for an order this size, i just don't get it..

That is totally unacceptable at any price. It's a shame that they don't take more pride in packing items for shipment.

I ordered a bunch of crossover parts from Madisound and they arrived loose in a box like that. No damage, but I guess that's standard procedure.

I've never had an issue like that from Madisound...and I've purchased quite a few MRs from them. Maybe there's a new guy in shipping who shouldn't be there."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Yea they got someone working there that doesn't need a job.
It only takes a minute to get some newspaper and wad it up for padding.
Try and get the pictures to them today so that they will see them first thing Monday morning.I've never had an issue like that from Madisound...and I've purchased quite a few MRs from them. I'm more upset knowing they are out of stock, and replacements can take weeks/months. I waited weeks for these. Emails are already sent, I even emailed Clarity about my issue.

Good on you! You may get a better response by involving Clarity. For the price of the MR's it's completely rediculous that they can't pack them better."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -

Sorry for your cap woes Larry. Madisound better take car of this for you. Sorry you have to wait for the new 12uF caps. Interested in hearing your thoughts when you complete this project.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Email from Clarity..Larry, I am sorry for the problem you've had and the inconvenience it has caused. I'll take a look at this as soon as I get to the office Monday.
We'll work with Madisound and do what we can to get it sorted out quickly.

For the money spent, go figure? I guess it is true, never enough time to do it right the first time, but always enough time to do it a second time.

Yes, it's damaged, and Yes, you should not have to accept damaged items due to poor packaging or rough handling.
That said...there's no electrolyte to leak out. Install the thing, and listen in comfort and bliss until the new, properly-packaged, undamaged cap(s) show up. At that time, you pop the damaged cap(s) back out, and solder the un-damaged ones in. But in the meantime, you're listening to your equipment instead of "waiting".
I bet there is not one bit of FUNCTIONAL damage; at least in the short-term. -
Clarity is making me new caps, I'm told they will ship on Friday..

Wow! Good customer service on Clarity's part.

This is great to hear. It certainly makes me feel better abut doing business with Madisound in the future.
I'm glad they took care of you. I hate to do business with outfits that create a problem and then try to make it your problem. Not so sure Madisound came through, but Clarity sure did. The David TF refers to in his post above is the GM of Clarity."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -

Confusing...
So who's shipping the caps?
Did Clarity send caps to Madisound or they shipped directly after verifying purchase from Madisound?
I mean is Madisound in the loop or no at this time?

I'm sorry. I may have jumped the gun on this matter.
In any case, it is great to know that somebody -- whether Clarity or Madisound remains to be seen -- has come through.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers.
