    "They left without incident" ?

It would seem to me that there is a problem with that scenario.
The city of Boston is locked down. Police/military are going block-by-by, conducting door-to-door searches for a person involved in a domestic terrorism incident that caused death and numerous severe injuries.

"KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK. POLICE. OPEN UP. WE NEED TO CONDUCT A SEARCH OF THE PREMISES FOR AN ARMED AND DANGEROUS TERRORIST"

""Go away. He's not here. Don't bother me again."

" UHM ...... WELL ............... OKAY. WE'RE LEAVING NOW. SORRY."

If that scenario did play out as described, would one describe that as "good police procedure" ?
Would that scenario have enabled an armed and deadly terrorist to possibly escape capture ?
If the woman answering the door had spoken Chechen, Arabic, or Farsi: would a translator have been brought to the scene or would her door have come down immediately ?

My respectful suggestion is to question everything.
The people who were killed or injured in Boston deserve that, IMO.

Does their action alone not signify that they do not trust the public? When did WE become the untrustworthy participant in this whole scenario? IF I missed it, has the question of bomb sniffing dogs ALL OVER THE PLACE missing NUMEROUS pipe bombs and other IED's come up yet? Why not "Amber alert! Target on the run! Grab your sling shots!"?

Is that a no on the bomb dogs and or the amputee not being first to receive treatment?

I have some interesting photos if any one wants an outside the box look at what went down at the scene. For those with combat experience, I suggest you compare the pics to those that you may have seen in real life and what actually happens when a bomb goes off at someones feet. Believe me, it does not pull the muscle out of the skin and leave the skin in an intact tube. p.s. Don't request the pics if you are in any way squeamish or easily offended.

Now that one doesn't look Kosher. I would and do have a problem with this video.

BTW Fox, a conspiracy theory is only a theory when no proof is available. Once proof is at hand, it no longer becomes a theory.

Excellent point, mrbiron. SDAIC and Keiko, if you don't stop it, you'll get the thread locked. The dead and injured at Boston deserve better.

Also want to say that I have absolutely no doubt that Face saw/heard a woman say that she succesfully refused entry to an entry team. Absolute confidence in his statement.
Wanted to make sure that the doubt on my part in that scenario comes strictly in how that could possibly have occurred in reality as she described.
If it did .... how and why ?
    If it didn't .... why ?

Sleeper cells is nothing new Mike. I would imagine we've had a few for some time now that they are watching. Authorities however are not going to come out and tell you too much on that as it would freighten the public to no end.

Like I said, lets just wait for more info to come out before throwing stones in any direction. It's not necessarily that I disagree with you Mike, but these types of things generate so much false information by many headline grabbers in the news media. Having said that, I'm also pretty sure in the end the info we do get will be filtered to the best of their ability and then used to drive whatever agenda.

This case, this act of terrorism will no doubt drive many discussions. In the coming months we will hear our leaders tell us what we need to prevent these types of things. More camera's, more gun laws, maybe certain bans on explosive materials, maybe having schools granted more access to a students personal info/public media accounts. Who knows, the possibilities are endless. Speaking from a simplistic way of thinking, when you have an infestation of rats you won't stop them from simply poisoning your home on the inside. Sooner or later you have to plug the hole that they come in from.

IMHO there will never be an end to the crazies that exist no matter what society does. Unfortunately one of the problems with living in a free society we are going to be subjected to psycho's every once in awhile. Doesn't matter what anyone does. Just part of the equation.

Exactly......nor can they stop every shooter who decides to go off the deep end. Point being, if you want to leave your safety only in the hands of the federal/local governments, then you have to accept these outcomes. People have to start being aware, paying attention to weird behavior. Even a well armed citizenry won't stop them all, but it may do some good in some cases. Saving some lives is better than saving none in my book anyway.

I read that these 2 didn't have any gun permits for their weapons. Which in my opinion goes to show that no matter the gun laws, criminals don't abide by them anyway. If you ask me, it is more important to federalize the crime of owning an unregistered gun. Make it a felony....but you know what would happen then ? They'd cry your putting minorities in jail, or some other race your picking on. Seems lately in our country, agendas get in the way of common sense policy making.

I brought up earlier the need to have a more secure border and better scrutiny in our visa programs. Common sense to me anyway. What we get is an 800 page immigration bill that will become another cluster f$%k. Doesn't nail down border security, nor adress the anchor baby laws we have yet seeks to have us keep tabs on illegals for 13 years. You know the manpower involved in just that ? Pandering laws, such as this, will ruin our nation. They've done a pretty darn good job so far in my opinion. For a nation that supposedly prides itself on freedom, equality, we do a pretty good job dividing citizens into groups and religous beliefs while sucking away at privacy rights.

I won't even get into why the heck we are still in the middle east, thats a whole nutha subject. Sometimes I wake up, make the mistake of turning on the news and wonder to myself if anybody is driving the bus. If you ever want to ruin your day, watch the news in the morning.

BTW- Mike....that cat with the tinfoil hat is priceless. Right up Mr. BBL's alley. I do have a question, when making tinfoil hats should the shiny side be on the outside or inside ?

I wondered about this - if that's the case, it is pretty remarkable given that MA has pretty strong gun laws.

Criminals don't follow laws. That's what makes them a criminal. I have yet to hear a compelling argument on how a piece of paper will stop a projectile.

You know the old bit about putting tin-foil on your head to keep the government signals out of your brain? It turns out cladding your head in tin-foil has the opposite effect.

Researchers at MIT, using a network analyzer, tested the impact of tin foil helmets on receptivity of radio-frequency signals. They highlight the method and results in the study abstract:

Among a fringe community of paranoids, aluminum helmets serve as the protective measure of choice against invasive radio signals. We investigate the efficacy of three aluminum helmet designs on a sample group of four individuals. Using a $250,000 network analyser, we find that although on average all helmets attenuate invasive radio frequencies in either directions (either emanating from an outside source, or emanating from the cranium of the subject), certain frequencies are in fact greatly amplified. These amplified frequencies coincide with radio bands reserved for government use according to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Statistical evidence suggests the use of helmets may in fact enhance the government’s invasive abilities. We speculate that the government may in fact have started the helmet craze for this reason.
    Attachment not found.

You need to ground the Al helmets in order for them to stop the RF signals. Of course that's not much fun having a ground wire going from your helmet to earth and it may slow your movements. down.
