    Too much information too fast and too incorrect.

    We have had many terrorist attacks in the past and didn't see them as terrorism. Now with the heighten awareness people see things a lot different. It's been going on for a lot longer than we really want to know.

    Just take a look at Jane Fonda she is a terrorist.

    hmmm... downtown Boston during a highly publicized event. I would be very surprised if the perp was not caught on multiple cameras at multiple angles. Just give it time.

    There was a great movie, back in the 1930's, called "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant, and Rosalind Russell. It showed EXACTLY what the press was like, and STILL is!

    They have killed one of the bombers, The T is shut down until further notice and they are tracking the second suspect in Watertown right now. One MBTA officer was shot and one MIT officer was shot and killed.

    It was/is chaotic. They carjacked some person and let them go in Cambridge but they identified themselves to the victim that they are the bombers, then took off. They were shooting guns and tossing out GRENADES at the cops. They managed to shoot one. The one that got away, ran over the dead one. They are from Chechnya one of them is 19 years old They've been here for quite a while. They've got crime scenes scattered from Cambridge to Watertown and a lock down is in effect from Boston to all surrounding communities. They have just now closed down all cab service and businesses are being told to stay closed. This is getting updated minute by minute.

    It is very weird in the Boston metro area this morning. I'd estimate that 40% of my co-workers literally cannot get to work today a(T is closed and the area around Watertown - including Cambridge and Newton and Waltham - is essentially in lock-down as of a little while ago). I find myself - quite atypically - to be an "essential person" today to actually be on site at our facility in Lexington (just outside the weird zone). Traffic was light.

    Two saving graces: it's Friday and it is the last day of the MA spring school vacation week; in that sense, this is - so far - minimally affecting people. It is a scary situation... times like this one wishes there really were a Batman or a Spiderman, I've gotta say.

    For only being 19 years old, so they say, how long could they have been here and what makes you want to kill so many innocents ? Thats what I want to know because being so young means they had to have some radical influences in such a short time span. Who or where are the parents ? Time will tell as info comes out I guess.

    Weird is to say the least. I'm in Cambridge right now and i can tell you this, even though we are on a construction site, the town is eerily quite...... No movement at all.
    The number of cops/national guard/ swat/FBI is almost unfathomable. A lot of our guys were approached on the ride in by heavily armed individuals tell them "Find another way because this place is close". Newest word is 95 is shut down completely in and out of the city which will make the ride home interesting.

    If i see him, i'll have the 345C Excavator smoke him with the bucket!

    All the more reasons why border security and visa applications warrant the best possible scrutiny. I find it amazing how much we can find out about these 2 in such short order, yet visa's it appears are handed out like bottled water and our security at the borders are dismal at best.

    A bit off topic, but relevant to the above. I recently find myself needing to "renew" my 15 year old daughter's passport at the Local Office at our Post Office. I was told I need to have BOTH parents (who are citizens like her) appear with "her", the old passport and a BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Her original (she was born in this town). How's that for NO criteria? I'd be careful about sweeping statements about how easy this or that is these days!

    I didn't say "NO" criteria pal. Kindly explain what criteria is needed coming from the southern border to be able to live here or extract certain benefits afforded the citizenry. As I recall, the last tour of the southern border resulted in many illegals not even of mexican descent. We complain about these types coming here, but never apply the due dillegence needed to limit these possible outcomes. I realize you can't stop them all, but certainly more can be done in both areas of border security and visa background checks. Our recent political will was to expand background checks of american citizens, what about those coming in the door from elsewhere ? Seems to me more focus on the "elsewhere" is more important, wouldn't you agree ?

    If we aim to limit terrorist coming here, if thats the goal as it should be, why is border security and visa's taboo to even talk about ? Logic has to dictate and rule the day, not pandering or political brownie points. Just sayin' is all. I hope this second suspect is taken down before he can inflict more harm.

    cnh - my ex destroyed my daughter's passport, so now to renew it and get a new one we don't have the old one to do that. The process for a lost or stolen passport pretty much assumes you are a criminal.

    These two have been in the states for years they came as children, the one still on the loose graduated from Rindge & Latin Academy in 2011 the older one was 26 and attending a community college. Their father went back to Russia. Who knows what turned them into murderers.

    The uncles don't bother me so much as the father. Claims all hell will break lose if the 2nd son is killed. I would take such talk as a threat and investigate the man. Also heard the sons talked to the father a week earlier about the bombings so the father has to be some kind of mentor. Least he had previous knowledge and did nothing. Scumbags....
