And it looks like I am going to upgrade the center as well. I listen to a lot of multi channel SACD's and movies so I want the front 3 to be balanced/matched.

And you guys really think the upgrades are worth it?

Total cost is going to be $775 for the crossovers on the LSi15s and LSiC as well as the woofer upgrades for the LSi15s

Crossover upgrades are a must do to get the most out of a pair of speakers unless they came with top notch components already in them. If you plan on keeping them I think you should do it, but only you can decide if it's worth it.

    Of course I understand English.

Or do you think you are the only one that can read between the lines.

Yeah i plan on keeping these a while, it will be a long time before i can afford the next tier up of speakers. I also just wanted to make sure it was a solid upgrade.

    Thank you

Nah. Once you get them back from Trey you'll have the next tier up of speakers:smile:

With these upgrades you'll experience more clarity, deeper and tighter bass, and increased soundstage. Not a night and day difference in my opinion, but enough of a difference that I'm glad I did mine and always recommend it to others.

I haven't done my center yet, so I'd love to hear your impressions once you get them back and have a chance to listen for a while.

It is great to hear so much good feedback about the upgrade, good chunk of change so its nice to hear its worth it.

Once i get them upgraded ill post back and let you know how i like the center. I listen to a lot of multi channel SACD's and DVD-A (and movies of course) so the center is worth it to me.

Well, something had to be done. An amp doesn't do what yours did without something being wrong.

Small update, UMC-200 arrived, upgraded crossovers arrived and everything is back up and running.... almost

Speaker/amp wise I am in good shape now. they are all working

Cant get my DVD-Audio discs or SACD's to work with the UMC-200 though (the SACD player is set to do PCM over HDMI since the UMC-200 doesn't support DSD)

alright all issues have been resolved now. Since all of these upgrades my mids and highs seem great on my lsi's but the bass seems rather lacking, I am hoping it is just that the woofers need to be broken in but they seem rather lacking in the low end (I know they wont replace a real sub but they just seem rather sad right now)

You know, I don't like this. I have been reading on this forum, the Klipsch forum, the Emotiva Lounge and even the Jeep Wrangler forum and this is two blown speakers of very high caliber that have been smoked by (maybe) an Emotiva amplifier within the last few weeks. I have not heard of other smoking speakers/amplifiers in all of my readings. Is it a common scenario? I was thinking of changing out my XPA5 with a Parasound 5250 that I picked up from......forgot who, nice guy D...something I think, lives in the west burgs of Chicago, in December. I'm gonna unplug the Emotiva and start swapping wires before my SDA's start that nasty habit...smoking.
