Yeah, it was safe in its plastic/bubble/tape cocoon.

Only problem I got now is that I hardly have anything that uses detachable power cords. However, I think I will do some computer benchmark testing.

I wonder how long I should let the power cord 'burn-in' on my computer before running benchmarks? lol

    Yeah, that was my issue...

I could only use it on my subwoofer and amplifier...

Hey guys, sorry for holding up this deal. I've been out of commision for a bit but am back 100% now.

I've got 3 cables that I'll be passing along. If it's alright, I'd like to keep them for another week so I can demo them (never got to before because I had that accident before they arrived). I'll be able to do this next weekend then pass them along to to the next party.

    Thanks

PM - I am sure the guys don't mind. Demo, have fun, and try to get back here more often. Glad to have you back.

Glad to hear your all better. No problem with the cables.

    Doro/Shack

    Question:

I noticed PM has three cables with two coming to me and one to Shack. What do you guys say if PM keeps all three together when sending them to me so I can review all three at once and then send them on to Shack and Wannabie. PM has no problem with this.

I would like to apologize to anybody awaiting a review of Zero's Venom Cables. Personal matters above and beyond that of audio have taken a front seat in my life. To the best of my understanding Amulford is the only other member interested at this time. If the members would like me to send them on unheard I will do so Monday morning. If you (especially Zero) are willing to wait, I assure you that I will give them a proper demo and review in the most timely matter possible.

BTW - I am also sitting on a couple Gs worth of gear that I am supposed to review for an individual and I haven't done that yet either.

    Thanks guys for the information.

Warviper - Where are you hiding? Do you want to demo these MIT's, as you're first in line.

Polkmaniac - Thanks for shipping to Brianomatic. Were you able to get some demo time? If so, will you be able to post your thoughts in the appropriate threads?

PolkThug - Thanks Mr. Two SVS's.

Faster100 - I know we are at odds, but you are still a welcome addition to the demo program. Just because we don't agree doesn't mean I won't honor your demo requests. Have fun.

    Gidrah - No problem.

BlueMDpicker - Since you upgraded recently, do you want to drop the Copperheads in as discussed previously?

I'll be dropping in a pair of Kimber speaker cable early next year. I havn't decided on which series, but possibly the 8TC.

If you guys have any requests or donations, let me know directly or here in the thread.

No problem, I have the cables now (SC power cord) and am needing assistance in what to listen for or how to do a valid comparison and so i can make a fair assumption of the 2 cables, stock and upgraded and write my review shortly...

    Mark,

I have one more IC in the upgrade yet to arrive - ETA tomorrow 12/7. Once it's in place, the AQ Copperheads will be ready for the program.

It's my intention to compare/review them against:

25+ year old Monster gold ends
    AQ Diamondback
    PS Audio xStream Statement

Since I have components (versus integrated), and only one pair of each flavor IC's (except the PSA's) I assume the place to compare/review is between the source and preamp. I need some advice on what to use in the pre to power amp slot to avoid any "coloration", if you will, of the IC being demoed. My first thought is to leave the Monster's in slot 2 throughout. What do you suggest?

    Mike

Faster - Check out some selections that are bass and midrange heavy. I found the most improvement in the bass region on my demo's ages ago. That's typically the first response when people get new PC's.

    Blue - Oki Doki.

Tilepro - You have to let me know what demo(s) you would like to participate in. Email your personal information, dorokusai@comcast.net so that we may get you started.

F100 - The next up is Danger Boy....DB drop him a line please.

TGAudio - I can't recall who offered the TGAudio PC's. If you are reading, please drop me a line and let me know if you still want to drop them in for a limited engagement. I think it was one of our friendly Canadians.

EZC - Do you have any store demo's of anything that you can donate for the cause? Drop me a line please, when you get a chance.

To everyone, the demo program is at the end or beginnning to get close for a couple cables..........sign up if you havn't done so already and try a couple of them out.

Once they are completed in their current roster I will shut them down, and ask for the cables to be returned to me. Don't forget to post your review gang.

I've been real busy, so that has delayed the launch of two of them, the SC SR, and the MIT. Just hold tight they are coming, burned in and ready to roll.

Two or three speaker cables will be launched next year, Audioquest, Kimber Kable and/or PS Audio.

I am entertaining the thought of bringing a geek "tweak" in in the form of ...

    Mapleshade - Heavyhat Vibration Control

I know I have ragged on their product descriptions, but do believe in the idea. I prefer BSA products, but these would be simpler, easy to move around during your demo's and easy to ship.

Steveinaz has firsthand experience with this product, perhaps he can post his comments.

Let me know your thoughts on throwing these into the mix.

    Thanks for your time.

As far as the Sprint/Nextel merger goes....they should be worried, not me....noone in this market has even broken a sweat.

    Thanks Mark,

Well with Sprint & Nextel merging making it 3rd I think. With Cingular & ATT wireless making this the largest. I worry a little about the cost savings they would like to do...

BTW is it true that Sprint has for sale the Local stuff?

SPCS has been number crunching us to death for the last 3 years, we're used to it....it was all for a future merger anyhow. They may be makingthe budget tight, but we rarely lose people, and that's because they leave. Sprint likes to weed out the weak.

When you make your company lean and mean, it becomes very attractive.

They are creating a seperate Sprint Nextel entity for local telecom, it's not a fire sale.
