Gentlemen ( and I use that term VERY loosely),

Just an update, I have in my possesion the Nordosts, I was able to do some prelim, but not some very critical comparisons. I will have this done before the end of the weekend (i'm getting my stepson into it, I am so psyched about that!!!:D )

    Shack,

I have the power cords also. This is cool, cause I can see what upgrading everything does for the performance in my rig.;) Again have done a little prelim. I need to chill sunday w/ a couple of cold Coronas, kick the family to the pool, and do some serious kicking.

This IS SUCH a cool program. Whoever hasn't got into this should.

I am still looking for more interested parties in the SC Silver Resolution and MIT AVT demo. This is at cost for me, so I like to try and make sure enough people are on board before purchasing these cables.

Let me know if you would like to join these demo's, it's free aside from shipping to the next participant. The specific details of this program can be found in the very first post of this sticky thread.

    Thanks for reading.

Ya know... you could always add the S3's to the program. ;);)

I can't believe nobody's really signing up here.

D - Yea I know, it's puzzling. I guess if your afraid of positive results, it's an intimidating idea ;)

The reviews have really been pretty objective, some positive, some negative....it's all good information either way. Perhaps they don't understand that it's not a pissing contest, it's for them to decide for themselves.

Maybe it's the size of the thread?

I know myself, if I'm not involved in a large thread I sometimes pass them by because it's just too much reading.

Check your PM's, I still need your address. Also send me $80 cash so I can wire the $18,000 to your Nigerian account.

    Hey Doro,

Maybe they could do a Sub forum for this like they did for Spydie. You know, put all the Review threads, member list, etc., in it's own little cubby. This would be more valid than the PP(and I post there regularly), IMHO.

    Just a thought...

Hey thanks go out to those that are participating, I appreciate your efforts as well. Keep the reviews coming, good or bad, it's all helpful to those who are into this thread.

Anthony - I am really happy that you found positive things in your demo of the SC Magic Power. I automatically upgrade all my PC's right out of the box, no skinny audio power cords in this house :) Thanks to Tour2Ma for "burning in" the SCMP prior to shipment.

Did you happen to try the other PC he sent along with the SCMP?

UPDATE: The MIT is on the way. I really wanted to give the lineup a fresh feel, and get another name brand in here.

We are currently demo running Signal Cable, Audioquest, Nordost and MIT...I think that's pretty damn good.

If anyone has some small, 0.5m length, quality interconnects laying around...please drop me a line. If you would like to sell them, I would be interested in that also.

I have an Outlaw brand, 0.5m, that if combined with a few others would make a cool demo package for someone with a short run(s). A nice 3-4 cable demo...just an idea.

Also, if noone else signs up for the demo's that are close to ending, they will be closed for good. Just let me know of your interest, and you will be added to the roster.

More cables are in the works, as usual, and I am entertaining the idea of a Belden cable, manufacturer showdown....Signal Cable/ Blue Jeans Cable/ Heartland....sound interesting?

Very intriguing. The differences would be, I'm assuming, in the connectors, solder, and craftsmanship, No?

That would be interesting. Maybe a comparison b/t Belden and Canare, too?

Anthony - Exactly, build quality would be the driving factor in a like comparison. I have owned BJC previously, but I gave them to my Dad for his rig a long time ago.

Canare and Belden...maybe, that's an idea. Belden is the established entity for me, and a much more diverse company than Canare. Belden is almost an audio industry standard for DIY, Canare is typically chosen because it is cheaper, not because it's better, IMO.

Do you think the differences b/t the two cables would be dramatic?

    It's an interesting thought.

I have some BJC sub cables I bought a while back. Needed a couple of 35' runs. They WERE less expensive. They're Canare w/ Canare ends.

I notice that BJC has went to all gold plated connectors, they were nickel with gold on the contact surfaces.

Yes, if your demoing something, find the review thread and post your thoughts, PLEASE. That's one of the premises this whole thing is about, getting people to try out different cables and getting their thoughts on them.
