Ahem, Tony et al. ............all plastic relegated to a landfill and thereby rendered irretrievable, is forever made unavailable for recycling and just means that much less plastics are available to be used daily in the manufacture of- electronics-automobiles-liquor bottles-digital media-guitars-on and on. This will require virgin petroleum in order to manufacture new plastics that I'd much rather have at hand for use in internal combustion engines and my furnace

The Rivo System looks awesome. If I didn't have 2 single cup machines , I would get this when it hits the stores. I might have to check it out anyway.Dan

A few million kcups the size of a pebble isn't going to turn the recycling industry on it's ear.....or the planet for that matter.
BTW, that Cuisinart is a refurb for 99 bucks. Retail is 399 it appears.HT SYSTEM-

Somewhat bigger than a pebble and that's billions. (with a "b") I'm gonna' guess that in this case "refurb" means unused and reboxed after a return, sorta like Polks from the ebay store.

Digging up an old thread...
Wife got me/us one for my birthday yesterday. It's no nitty gritty (last year's b-day present!!)
She got the Keurig Special Edition Brewing System. Worked well on day one. Only tried it out so far with the sample cups that are included. She also got the reusable cup so we can grind our own coffee...which is probably what we'll do most of.
My French press (which said indestructable on the side) just broke so the timing is good. I'll probably get another French press, however, as I really enjoy that when I have the time.
But this machine seems like a nice unit and good for a quick cup.
Well, we've used our unit for awhile now, and I use the self ground attachment occasionally. I hate to say it because I am a perfectionist in so many other areas, but so far with this thing, I have mostly just used the regular k-cups. The convenience is amazing in this thing. I use the Green Mountain breakfast blend and it is a great cup.
The self ground attachment is good for the rare occasions that I have the time.
My only complaint so far is the 'largest' cup out of the three sizes offered is 10.5 ounces. Not quite big enough.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A
