Are you READY for some FOOTBALL!

After taking last year off for the most part due to the stike and ensuing lock-out, (decision made BEFORE my team sucked:razz:), I am now back into football and yes, still a Vikings fan. And yes, I know my team still sucks, but that's ok too.

My predictions for the season is that Detroit makes a strong push towards elite status and makes it to the top four teams left standing, along with the Ravens, Texans and the Giants.

Minnesota... 6 and 10, but at least they have a new stadium.

    John,
Still too early to know if the Purple People Eaters are bad or not. Know that you have Peterson and Harvin, Ponder, .. I still Ponder about.
Hell, I was surprised to come home, turn on the system, and see Packers football. It was a mild surprise to see a professional poker player as a sideline coach. But who gives a hot damn, this sport is laced with gambling, ask Vegas the odds.

I am looking forward to this years Polk Football league. Oh... I said it long ago, I say it again.. Eff Tebow... Effin Drama Attention seeking........

I have zero confidence in Ponder, and more importantly in a team that has a RECIEVER faster than Randy Moss in his prime sitting on the bench as a back-up QB(Joe Webb). What idiot coaching staff feels that keeping a player of his talent sitting on the sidelines instead of shredding defenses and giving Ponder a credible deep threat is smoking crack. If I were Webb, I would be pissed and demand a trade.

I don't watch football and keep up with it cause that is what some people know that most of you will be doing. They set you up.
    Enjoy the games.

Was only able to listen to the Broncos/Bears game via an iPad app. After 19 months away it sounded like Peyton was knocking some rust off. It's good to have football going again.

    Yes....enough of the Olympics.

Hey, maybe in four years football will be an Olympic sport and the US can field their best "amateurs" from the NFL:rolleyes:

My money is on PSU to win whatever bowl game they play in this year.

It's OK, Halen, Tim will forgive you for that... it's what he does. LOL
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

After watching that pre season between Denver and the Bears, all I can say is the Bears still suck and Payton looked like he hasn't skipped a beat. Mind you some key starters were left out of the Bears lineup, I can tell by the play calling it's going to be a repeat of last year. Hope I'm wrong.

As a Bears fan, I have found myself questioning the play calling for the majority of my life. 1st down - run formation - run play up the middle for little or no gain. 2nd down and long-either run up the middle for a couple more yards or maybe an incomplete pass. 3rd down and long - pass formation - QB drops back for a short pass completion or incomplete pass. 4th down - punt it away and put an excellent defense back on the field and hope they score or get the ball back. Oh well...

I hear ya pal, the play calling has become so routine, that the opposing team knows in advance what they're running.

True, true. Ponder.. hahahaha. At least manage the game around the talent. Ask Alex Smith.

LOL. How ironic the big tebowski is the sidekick to the starting qb that posed in gq or whatever magazine it was. Wearing jeans or whatever it was so tight, I thought it was painted on.

NFL or college, I look forward to some good o' american sports. NFL with a new generation and college with its traditions. Sure beats any damn thing on tv.

    Game on.....
