I would love to have a pair of those 12's. Just because I am becoming a hoarder of all things Polk.2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.
Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

The RTA-12B and C's are the best non SDA vintage Polk speakers I have heard, in some aspects they even beat out SDA's (center imaging for instance). I paid $225 for mine, ended up giving them to a friend for free. I tried selling them for something around $200 with two extra Peerless tweeters and an extra MW6600X and I still couldn't get rid of them. I found a set of RTA11's and the guy said he had to have 600.00 for the pair. He was none too happy when I laughed in his face. For some reason a lot of folks think these are like fine wine and they appreciate with age. I offered him what I thought was fair 150.00 but he had just bought a set of Dynaudio speakers and he thought I was going to help him pay those Dyn's off his CC.
