Yes it's a blade/blade cabinet. Polk used a plug for those holes it is obviously missing. The SRS 2.3 had the donut drivers. They were mass loaded to achieve a frequency response. IIRC later 2.3 may of had redesigned drivers that didn't need the loaded mass to achieve that frequency. (I could be mistaken)
The flat drivers in this freak I cannot speculate the why's and thought process behind.
Those I'd love to be able to buy the passives out of. The rest is more than likely trash

So these were delivered a few days ago. Just unpacked them. Minty, except on one of the bases there is a little delamination. Looks to be fixable. No water damage, as the particle board underneath is intact and not deteriorated.

Nope, they are listed correctly. Monitor 12s look like monitor 10s with 2 extra mid drivers and in a taller box.

Polk Audio Monitor 7B plus Stands.

Here's a good one for somebody in MD although it is bidding only and start is $195. He redid his crossovers with quality components. "I recently upgraded the crossover circuits in these speakers using Gen I Sonicap capacitors, Vishay Mills resistors, and silver solder. That upgrade added new vitality, depth, and refinement to these speakers, and those components alone cost nearly the price I’m asking here. This translates into a great deal for you!" No affiliation on my part.

Polk Model 7B Speakers (pair) Classic in Excellent ShapeThese went for $162 shipped. I did not post it here because when I asked seller to verify that midbass drivers were without scraping noises, he said that he discovered they were not, and I did not think it was worth any more than the minimum bid, but fortunately for somebody they got it for that. Gotta appreciate the honesty (to me), but what IF somebody had gotten into a bidding war and it went for $100 more?.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polk-Model-7B-Speakers-pair-Classic-in-Excellent-Shape-/303426228264?ul_noapp=true&nma=true&si=%2Fz9f7kJJp3oWOLHmUZZO17vQyis%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
