Yep, just dont go to the 9PM one on a Friday night and you should be good. We went to the 10:30 show last night and there wasnt that many people in there at all. And there was this ridiculously SMOKING HOT chick sitting in front of us wearing a short little skirt. I was doing everything I could to check her out without the wife noticing. I never got punched in the ribs so I guess I got away with it.
Anyways, as to the movie, this was possibly the best movie Ive seen in the theater in maybe 15 years. Freaking awesome from start to finish! Tons of great effects, story, action and characters. Whoever cast these guys just nailed it especially with Thor. That dude is just F'ing cool.
Id give this a solid 9 out of 10......9.5 if you count the hot chick.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

saw it yesterday for the first time. Waited til I had a chance to go see it on IMAX. Man...this movie was awesome. LOVED the Hulk/Lokey scene..."Puny god".
Loved the commentary and funny bits weaved into the script...and loved scarlett johansson...wow.
I might actually buy this one.

That was a great scene but the one that cracked me up the most was when Hulk and Thor crashed into that building and were standing there and Hulk just reached over and knocked him outta the scene. I laughed me **** off at that one.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Saw it last night in 3D - IMPRESSIVE!
One of the several things I liked about it is it was character driven, even though the special effects were some of the best I've seen anywhere. They never got in the way of the story. The 3D was spectacular, really well done.
Favorite scene: towards the end of the battle in NYC when The Hulk confronts Loki in Stark Tower, who is about to give a speech. Instead of listening he snatches him up, plays smash like he had a rag doll.
That was the quickest 2.5 hour movie I ever sat through."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
I saw the 3D version first, then a week later went to a 2D showing. I liked the 3D but didn't lose much with the regular version. I am also not a fan of wearing the glasses, plus they do darken the screen so the colors are muted. I like some of the 3D effects but not enough to justify the extra expense and the annoying glasses.
Having said that, I loved the movie both times I saw it. And seeing the "entity" in the first teaser was a nice surprise (I don't want to spoil it if anyone hasn't seen it but I am very familiar with him from the comics). Can't wait to see Avengers 2. -
Took the wife and kids to see the 10:20am showing - got perfect seats and had a helluva ride thru the movie.
Thumbs ups!
Loved Stark's Black Sabbath T-shirt (a nod to Sabbath's "Iron Man" was cool!).
And there were some good scenes with good dialog - the scene where Scarlett's character has the conversation w/ Loki in the cell - pretty intense w/ a twist.
Definitely made more sense to me and the kids who previously saw Thor and Captain America as there is a 'thread' thru these movies.

Ron loves a film = don't even rent. -
I picked ip up yesterday and watched it last night.
This Blu ray is Reference in every way. The Video is clear crisp and very clean. It's also in a 1.78 or 16 x 9 format so no black bars on your HDTV. I honestly love when Blu ray's are in this format.
Audio was top notch , some of the low end will shake your house apart. I was very impressed. Detail is right up there with the best.
If you hated this movie it's still worth buying as a show off demo.
I loved this movie as I felt it was one of if not the very best Super Hero movie I have ever seen.Dan

Wife and I flew home from Puerto Rico on Monday and it was showing on the flight home. I LOVED this movie. Funny, exciting, action packed and everything I expected. Downside was I was watching it on a 7 inch screen with some dolt reclining his chair all the way back. I decided on my way to work to stop at Target and buy it. I cant wait to watch it on the home theater this week.Shawn
