I live in both worlds (soon to be 3 with iOS) and there is value in both operating systems, as well as frustrations. Going from one to another is akin to writing with either cursive or printing. That being said, I do prefer the Mac world overall based upon what I use a computer for, but that's me.

As for those who whine about Apple being over-priced, yea I pay more, but I get longer life without failures. My previous iBook G4 laptop (7 years old) is still going strong as my music server, and my first iBook G3 (now 12 years old) is still in service as an email station with friends.

Anyone played with the new GaragaBand yet? The Strings are a great addition and several other new features really bring out alot more potential in this software.

This is seriously one of the coolest pieces of software ever written, it's right up there with the penguin game

Yes I'm running it on the iPad 2, I have it on my iMac as well but doesn't have the same appeal.

I'll be grabbing the new iPad on release day if I can find one. Debating on whether to keep the one I have now as a remote and media server and squeezebox controller or sell it.

I sold mine 6 weeks ago, totally miss the thing. Preorder should arrive on 3/16.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

    Any Apple shareholders?

Looks like you are going to have a great day based on pre-opening stock market opening signs.

I was watching some Game of Thrones at 1080p on mine earlier. The image quality is breathtaking and it is crazy to think that the iPad is having to upscale BD video resolution.

May all your wishes come true so promptly!
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) rose Monday after the company announced that it will put some of its nearly $100 billion in cash toward a dividend of $2.65 per share and the repurchase of up to $10 billion in stock.
