Could use some prayers

Wont get into too much detail but things here on my end are not getting better in the way myself and the doctors have hoped. I am not dying or anything like that, but simply I have felt worse and worse since December and this last month I have felt like crap, have no appetite and am having trouble with malnutrition (I believe) which is leading to sheer physical exhaustion. Need to follow up with my GI and see what they want to do, but I am not excited about what possibilities may exist.

Any good thoughts and prayers sent my way would be appreciated. Also prayers for my wife. This is really hard for her.

You need to take a good look at what you have been eating and drinking to see if there is any correlation to your current trouble with your health. Prayers sent.

Maybe it is something like Celiac??

Also try and listen to music as much as possible. That is better medicine than any doctor can prescribe.

We rarely take anything for granted as much as our health. So, when we feel bad it interferes with everything. Hoping you get the assistance you need as soon as possible! Also, don't give in and get down. Positive attitude works wonders.

Sorry bud. In situations like this one, where allopathic cures have limited solutions, you owe it to yourself to look at homeopathy. Research it carefully. Many people think its quackery, but keep in mind thats its slowly making inroads into mainstream treatments. Zicam for instance, available over the counter is advertised as the remedy that shortens a cold. Its based on homeopathy, and works for me. The issue in the US is very few practitioners, but look for one and see what they say.

Right now what I am going to talk to my GI about is possibly talking to a nutritionist. I am wanting to get someone's opinions on foods I should be staying away from, and ones I should be eating more of ect. For the most part I have been sticking to carbs and meats as lots of fiber normally wasnt good (but its been years since I really ate lots of fiberous foods).

I know somethings I cant eat much if any of (like Pork, items with concentrated citric acid, etc) but I am sure there is a lot more. Plus there might be some supplements I can start taking to get things back to normal.

And I do appreciate the prayers and thoughts. That and good music have unreal healing powers sometimes.

Yeah, I am weird about talking about pain. I try to ignore it as much as possible since it can be a daily thing. It could always be worse.

Makes you wonder what you don't know about the rest of the community. Everyone has their demons. Some hide it better than others. The nice thing I find is the group here just cares. It's like the second geeky family that you can talk about the one hobby you cant with anyone else in your family but yet they still care just like any one else.

You're in my thoughts bud. I'm hoping things get well for you so that you don't have to worry about this and focus on life's more precious qualities.

Yup, always. I am like the dad in "Meet the Parents", I have some circles of trust lol. Most of you guys that post regularly I am comfortable enough to be honest with how things are, but would still want to keep it via PM .

Once its on the web its harder to erase what you posted, than to have never posted it originally.

You're in our thoughts and prayers.

A number of years ago, I went through a phase somewhat similar. It may have had something to do with an infection in the lower GI (or not--no test found anything) and atomic dosses of antibiotics over 5-6 weeks (for a bad sinusitis) that left me weak, with no appetite, nauseated most of the time, depressed and thinking this was "it" (melodramatic, of course). I lost about 25 lbs over the six month period it took me to return to normalcy--down to my High School weight. No one ever quite figured out exactly what that was about. But things have been great since then.

So, hopefully, better days are ahead! You have to hang in there! And certainly have whatever "tests" are necessary!

cnh: the tests in Dec ruled out any infections they were looking for (c-diff, etc) but thats what we initially thought it was. Doesnt mean what I am dealing with now isnt an infection though. I have my own thoughts on the matter, but no proof to back them up right now.

I have been gaining and dropping weight for about 3 years from 200 at my heaviest to 140 my normal weight to all kinds of places in-between. My wife hates me for that .

deron: right now my body doesnt want food, which is common with Crohns disease, or is at times at least for me. I also have had something I have been fighting with my throat and for the last 4 days swallowing food hurts really bad. I went to the Dr on that and its not strep or pneumonia so there wasnt much they could do for me lol. I have been drinking lots of Gatorade and will probably pick up some boosts and chicken broth and soft type foods (like breakfast foods, apple sauce, etc)
