So what you're saying is it's ok for you to bend the rules/laws, if not outright break them and that you use your job with Customs in what appears to be an unethical/illegal way. Yeah, you're not very smart stating that on a public forum. What's your boss's name as I'd like to have a talk with him or her?

Never mind, I found the contact info. http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/contact/menu-eng.html

Here you go I'm sure he'll get back to you. Tell him how a border security guard is breaking any law bringing his speakers into the country from the united states. Cause I know your suc an expert on Canadian laws on purchases made outside the country. You might want to tell him I bring my gas and milk from there too like 35000 other people in the city I live

So do you throw fits like this on other things in life?

Like do you throw yourself on the floor at a place to eat and cry until a manger gives you a discount because you think you deserve it more than other patrons?

Seriously, I feel your a fool. I showed you black and white proof and you either dont care or your won't understand. If you don't care just admit thats what happened and be a man. If not be a wuss and keep trolling. I see you didnt have an answer to the proof I put out but junk trool answers. Regardless, you just prove to me that polk will get away with whatever they want and you guys will eat it up. I said the same thing in the AV123 when Schifter was being held as a god and I was right then too. So really I could care less now cause your opinion doesnt matter to me now that I know you dont have one of your own.

I love how you feel I need to pull myself out of a hole. I'm in a hole for pointing out a shyster deal and have proof to back it up? I feel really good that I'm not just some mindless follower who goes with the crowd. I proved my point and everyone else just went on to attack me. In any good debate I win.

Wow, almost 24 hrs. and this is still going strong?

Jim, going so far as to call this a shyster deal is a little out of bounds no matter how it's sliced; IMO, $549 for what is essentially a new pair of LSi9s (warranteed?) is still well below msrp, and very reasonable for a pair of excellent bookshelf speakers. I know that's not your point, OK, but maybe waiting until you spoke to someone at Polk might've been a better course of action.

And as for "outing" Polk on this forum? Calling a company like Polk [that gave away several dozen MiDocks at Polkfest '08] unethical is not going to garner much in the way of support for the "cause".
My humble $.02, though I hope you have a change of heart about Polk after you call Polks' CS tomorrow, after all, you have been here for almost 5 years, you must know by now how cool this place is.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

OMG seriously can you learn the difference between "you're" and "your"? Or are you going to keep perpetuating the cycle of ignorance?

Jim - You're an ****. Why not ask the question and let Polk respond instead of immediately thinking they did something uncool? As much as this place does for its members and beyond....and as cool as I thought you were prior to this....this is a slap in the face. You could have even contacted me directly douchebag.

EDIT: Thanks for the private email after this post telling me to go F myself Jim. This thread was closed before I had the opportunity to read and comment openly, which I subsequently did afterwards as you read. There's a point where we all get angry and we call one another names but are moreso mad about the situation, not one another. I doubt we would be this mad in person(virtually), when we could discuss everything rationally. I realize that you couldn't post here, and I wasn't the one who closed the thread either. I expected that you would contact me offline, since we've done enough retail business with one another so I could get more of it and establish something more than calling you that, which for the short of it, you were. You're just filled with hatred so I'll pass. Dude, it's not anything you thought it was nor was my comment anything but a F you 2 but usually we move on from that stuff and start talking. Happy Thanksgiving!

    Regards,
    Mark
