I hate when someone who has or knows someone with a disability gets mad at a comment about that disability but will laugh at any other disability. Freakin drives me nuts.

Oh I can't believe he would say that about people with Parkinson's one minute and OMG that was so funny when he made fun of bipolar-ism. I just want to punch them in the throat.

    My current pet peeve....

People who runs or walks during the evening hours wearing black/dark color clothing.

Are you training to be a ninja? And it's other people's fault when they can't see you running around a corner at full speed in your black clothing? Or it's my dog's fault for barking at you for spoking him when you come up fast behind him in your ninja-inspired outfit?

Whenever I walk my dog in the evening, I try to be as visible as possible....head-lamp, bright/light color clothing, reflective trim on my running shoes/clothing, etc. Heck, I even have a full-reflective vest for myself and a blinking light on my dog's collar.

Come on, use a little common sense.

    That's a good one.

Who decides to put on their "invisible pedestrian" outfit in order to walk/run/ride at night or early in the morning when it's pitch black out?

I have almost hit people several times and I'm sure it would look like my fault, and I would feel guilty (well, a little) even though they must have a death wish.

They act astonished and pissed when you swerve to avoid hitting them in their flat-black jogging suit, black hat and black shoes while they run along 3 or 4 feet into the road instead of on the shoulder.

Why not just turn on your Romulan Cloaking Device so I have no chance at all?

Come on Joe lightin up, Don't you know that all disabled people are suckers of the public **** and would be doing society a favor by crawling in a corner and die.

oh yeah, trust me I totally agree with you. right after she divorced that guy she left for a "trip" with her little guy "friend" over seas, then when she got back she went to see ol' what's his name again. Stupid, sick of hearing about her. When she gets dropped from her "celeb" role the world will get back to normal. along with the economy. totally joking but I'm sick of the crap with the whole family.

Items that you buy on a regular basis that one day say new and improved....WAIT..how can it be new if I bought it last month...or wait is it improved? how can a NEW product be improved. It has to no longer be new in order for the company to improve, you can't improve something that "doesn't" exisit.

    Here's another one for me....

People who don't pick up their dog's ****

What's the deal with that? Isn't this common courtesy? One reason I wear that head-lamp I mentioned above is to pick up my dog's **** in the dark. And you know what? It's those people with their yappy little dog who don't think it's such a big deal. How about me coming over to your lawn and letting my 120 lbs Old English Sheepdog do his business, and not picking up the mess? Where I live, doggie **** bags are provided and receptacles are 2 blocks apart....there're no excuses. :frown:

    Also....

    Toyota drivers

I am posting this as a current Toyota owner and a former owner of a 2001 Camry. To those other Toyota drivers out there, especially those who drive Camrys....for the love of God, will you please just step on the gas??!! It's not like the car will explode once it hits 50 mph. It's not like I'm singling out one or two such drivers; I've seen enough of them who basically hinder the flow of traffic from going so damn slow. Anytime I found myself behind a Toyota Camry, I know I'll need to change lanes....just like changing lanes when I am behind a VW van, VW bug, diesel Mercedes, school buses, etc. Come on, I'm not asking you to be a speed demon....just go with the flow. Is it so hard?

When people say less instead of fewer. Less should be used when the object of the sentence can't be counted. Fewer is to be used when the object is countable.

I ate less rice than you.

The Steelers have fewer sacks than the Ravens.

Checkout lines: Ten items or Less. This is incorrect

Our local stores just changed it to ten items or fewer. I no longer have the annoyance

    Hmmmm.

(I seem to have a lot of pet peeves today).

How about stupid TV shows like "Real NY/Atlanta/ Beverly Hills/etc. Housewives" that consist of vain, spoiled, stupid, obnoxious, wealthy women screaming at each other and seeing who can be the biggest be-atch in order to get more camera time.

Also shows where people bake a cake, or design a scarf, or paint a room and then stand in there trembling and almost crapping their pants while they are being judged by some sneering nitwit fashion model or chef, or designer, who will determine if they are "good enough' or if they suck. I guess these shows are a form of competition for people that think sports are too stupid to watch.

I really have to leave the room if any of these are on. They make "Beevis and Butthead" look like "Masterpiece Theater".

At one time a really great invention was made, the trafficators. Then the turn signal was invented by Oscar J. Simler, who invented and patented a the turn signal in 1929.

In homage to those that keep the turn signal state of the art, please use them. I don't like sitting in a turn lane waiting for someone to go by and then they stop and turn when I could have been on my way and enjoying life a few seconds faster. I think it is the ultimate rude or at least high on that list. Do they think I'm just sitting there for fun with my turn signal on? Sometimes we all forget a quick signal or two, but people either don't ever use them.

Another pet peeve is when someone asks a question, and as I'm answering them they talk over me pre-answering their own question with bad information that would be clarified and correctly answered if they stopped talking and listened to me talking while I'm answering their question at the same time they are talking over me.
I'm not sure why people like to waste other people's time like that.

It absolutely is the small dog owners who think it's no big deal. I had a chihuahua mix and although it was small business it still was picked up by me just as I pick up after my bigger dog now. If you step in small **** or big **** it's just as stinky and PITA to clean off the shoe.

    Poetic justice this afternoon---

You know the "rules don't apply to me" type right? I hate'm. Enter chubby in the cafeteria today at lunch. Somebody spilled thier coke on their table, so the cafe lady is mopping up--and she leaves a sign on the table--do not use. So, chubby decides the rules don't apply to him and sits hi **** down anyway---right into a puddle of coke that was still on the seat!!!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The screws in in light switch and outlet plates have to be vertical.

I thought I was the only one anal about them too. But I just looked over at some plates and my screws are every which way. I have had a couple of bad years health wise and have slipped off my usual micro scrutinizing tendencies. How about outlets. I have large slot on left always.

See, for me light switch plate screws should be vertical but outlet plate screws should be horizontal.
