Pet Peeves what are yours?

Here are a few of mine involving shopping. What are yours?

1.The lady at the grocery store who puts her cart directly in the middle of the aisle then looks at you like your at fault when you raise your eyebrows at her to suggest that she move her cart so you can get past and has several screaming children who are in front of her that continue to block further progress while running in a zig zag fashion ahead of you, god help you if you happen to accidentialy hit one of the lil fockers with your cart while trying to avoid smacking into another one of her ill mannered offspring.

2. Waiting in line at the 12 item express stand that is staffed by a trainee who manages to screw something up while scanning the 49 items in the cart ahead of me by my count, then cant do anything without a managers overide, then the person checking out has to use 14 different coupons which of those at least 2 are outdated so then the manger has to come back and explain why they cant use them, then eventually she pulls out her checkbook and slowly fills out the check that she could have filled out completley minus the amount of course during either of the two previous 10 min waits for the manager, then after writing the check then has to balance her checkbook before slowly putting it back into her purse and leaving.

3. Customer service centers period. These are places that should be named customer dis service centers because usally they take returns, sell tobbacco products, western union moneygrams, fishing/hunting licenses, rent rug shampooers, videos etc and are always staffed by a single employee and no matter how long the line is are never augmented by another. All I want is a lousy pack of smokes for gawds sakes but I cant buy them anywhere else in the store but here at this charming Customer service center.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    Car snakes.

You know who I'm talking about...

Most folks know courtesy and waiting their turn, getting in line for a left turn lane or the freeway on-ramp.

Yet out of the rearview mirror you can see the car snake zooming up in the adjacent lane believing they are special and entitled to dive right in and snake a spot in front of you......nope....not on my watch....denied....

That's a definate issue to get mad or annoyed over. We hate those jerks also. I wish bumping their rear bumpers after they do it was legal.

One of my traffic ones is and I said before, Having a turn signal on when your obviously in a turning lane. Some turning lights (at night) are blinding and irritating if your right behind them!
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Splat the motorcyclist that cuts between lanes of cars that are lined up for miles, doing 70mph while the rest of traffic can only do 10mph.

Drivers that throw lit cigarette butts out their car windows.

    Oooh....oooh....

The lazy @-holes who leave shopping carts between parking spaces so that when you come out there is a cart right up against your driver door...and....it has left scratches.....

Really? Really? You are too f-in lazy to take the cart back? Now the store has to send more baggers to retrieve carts and not be inside helping out to bag...so you get to wait longer in line to find your car scratched....awesome....

Those individuals who drive 45mph in a 60mph zone for 20 miles until you get to a two lane passing zone and then speed up to 90mph so you cant pass them only to slow down to 45mph when the lanes come back together.

Ok, I have to say my top are:

    1. People who still pay with checks at the grocery store and wait until all their items have been bagged before they start writing the check. Come on, its 2011!

    2. All those people who don't "keep right except to pass". I was thinking about making some bumper stickers with this written on it (as a community service).

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but prime parking at stores really upsets me. I can't believe people who park directly in front of the doors, and go in and do their shopping, I have to walk around there vehicle to get into the store. OR they are parked in front of the 'NO PARKING FIRE LANE' signs, on top of the yellow no parking lines, are you f'n kidding me? Your THAT lazy?

Number two would be fat people who think the elec-wheelchairs at Wal-Mart are for them, no, fat is not a disability, maybe if you didn't park in the no parking zone and then jumped into that hover-round you wouldn’t be 5'8" and 425.

If I was a worse person, I would run into every vehicle parked there with my shopping cart, and be like ‘Oh ****, I didn’t think there was a vehicle parked in the no parking zone, sorry, I didn’t see it and my shopping cart doesn’t have insurance, sorry about your luck.’

    end rant.

People that smack their gum or can't seem to eat with their mouth shut. Talking with your face full of BBQ Pork that looks like it should be on the way out already would also qualify.

    Here are a few more.

    1. Why at any store especially the big chains do they have 125 + checkout stands and never more than 5-6 clerks? are we saving the other 120 for some population growth spurt? or what.

    2. When I go to clear out my email spam folder a popup appears asking me if I really want to do this, yes I really do!! but if I decide to delete a message or several in my inbox it's gone instantly no questions asked.

I feel your pain  Sometimes I will go to the buffet and be stuck behind some gal who obviously is on a diet or at least concerned about what she should eat and will hover undecided over some dish and you can see her mind working trying to decide whether she is going to have some of it or not

I don't eat at fast food joints very often, but it drives me crazy when there are people waiting in line just sitting there blabbing the whole time instead of deciding what they want to order, then when it's their turn it takes them like 20 mins to order 2 things from the dollar menu that they have most likely seen 1,000 times but yet they still can't decide on what they want:mad:

I can agree with nearly everything here, but I completely disagree with this one. I wish more drivers would actually use their turn signals properly, and that includes when they are making a turn, whether they are in a turn only lane or not. The most common offense I see is failure to use them when changing lanes. That is both dangerous and rude.

Another pet peeve of mine is one that Gimpod touched on: those who are unable to respect other people's opinions. It is fine if you disagree, and feel free to state that and explain why. However, bashing the other person and their beliefs is just rude and unproductive. I realize that even the best of us may do this at times (me included), and it is understandable since some beliefs are held very closely. However, it is a real problem when a person repeatedly does this, and unfortunately there are a few posters on this board who fall into that category.

One-line posts of such a nature without offering anything useful to the conversation.

Some other forums make this a rule, such as the following:
