I am located about 90 min east of the Twin Cities. It sounds like we will be meeting up on the 17th to make the swap. I plan on running them in a couple different setups over the period of a few weeks, but I would be more than willing to meet part way to MN to hand them off to the next member once I'm done.

Sounds good to me! What's the process for signing up for this in-home demo? Do we need to contact a mod and get approval or anything? doro, any thoughts?

    Definitely looking forward to this!

Just post your SS#, blood type, biggest fears, and also you have to tell us all AT LEAST 2 secrets you're keeping

Or there may be an official list, but I'm pretty sure it's been based on proximity and people asking to be next.

    Hey Doro,

I have been in contact with mole79 about picking up the 707's that he has and he asked me to get autorization from you.

Is there a list that someone is keeping track of? I think they're in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, correct?

Haven't made it here yet as far as I know - I believe I'm next on the list after MrGlobe is done with them.

MrGlobe - let me know if you'd like to schedule a pickup time

As far as I am aware they went directly from me in Indianapolis to Leroyjr1 in Milwaukee, then over to cstmar01 in northern WI and then to Mr globe.

It appears they are headed to Minneapolis, MN next. Getting them to chicago is something you would need to arrange with dbaldus.

Leroyjr1 paid to have them shipped from me to him and it was like 50 bucks give or take. So if you cant physically make the trip shipping is an option, provided whoever is now running the show (which might be F1Nut) is ok with it.

I would see if you could get some of the other IL polkies in on helping with shipping charges (newrival, h9, etc) since I bet there are lots that would love to demo them in the northern IL/chicago area.

When I had them no one in the Chicago area spoke up so they headed in another direction.

endersShadow.... I don't think the packing is up to par for shipping. When I had them the foam was already starting to break.

Gotcha, I know when I had them it was ok, but I picked them up directly from their first stop. Anything after that I am clueless about lol.......

So it appears ravaneli if you want em, you might have to go and get em or met dbaldus somewhere.

I personally put 4 hours one way to get them myself. Worth the cost of the demo time I had with them IMHO. Cant knock something like 50 bucks in gas to try out 1500 dollar speakers for free for a couple weeks....

I think there are a couple others up here in Minneapolis that are planning to demo them after me, but we'll keep everyone posted and can hopefully get them down to the Chicago area at some point.

I'll probably be meeting MrGlobe to pick them up in the next week or two...
