Ok ,
so I'm German and drinking beer is a part of my makeup. Great Grand pop did it , Grand pop did it , uncle loves it , I love it so on and so on.

Lately I have been trying as many different beers I can get my hands on. I'm finding that I'm a Guinness , Smithwicks , Boddingtons pub ale kinda guy. I like smooth easy to drink beers with full flavor and loveliness. I'm also a sucker for a PA beer in Yuengling.

I have found another line of beers I'm really starting to like , it's called Weyerbacher. They make some kick **** beer. Everything I have tried from them is special. Right now I'm really into Imperial Pumkin Ale. It like drinking Thanksgiving and fall in a bottle. It gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling of family and friends gathering together for a good hot meal. Enjoying the cool comfort of fall after a hot summer. The want to sit by a fire with your lady and enjoy a nigh cap. YES it does all that!!!!!

So tell me about your beer and why you love it.
Dan

I haven't had a Boddingtons Cream Ale in a while, maybe it's about time again.

Weyerbacher is really good indeed. A friend of mine calls it " a loaf of bread in a glass".

He drinks stuff like Molson Ice (Ack!) but he's mostly a wine drinker, so what does he know?

As for my fav right now? Probably Spaten Optimator. Smooth with a nice kick.

I'm was a huge Sam Adams fan , still am but I put that one on the back burner for now as I had everything they make , didn't like Noble Hops but love everything else especially Summer ale and October Fest.
I never put lemon in a Lager but sounds like a good idea. I'll try that next time I have one.
I put Orange in my Blue Moon.

I can't hear any difference between beers. However, after a few beers I can detect even the smallest of changes in playback.

I buy whatever micro-brew Safeway has on sale. Lately it has been Red Tail Ale. It taste good, and gets the job done.

So let me get this straight , it's more about getting the job done and cheap as possible? Mico-brew is usually better then the big beer companies so you must have some thirst for a good quality beer.

Guess I'm too young to understand that

and some good beers you have listed. I've been drinking Boddingtons for a few years now and really enjoy it. I really like the micro brews I can get around here as my town has its own called Point Beer. Good stuff and its local. WOOHOO

I have been into Blue Moon, Fat Tire, Franziskaner, Hoegaarden type beers lately. Somehow, they all seem to taste even better in Pewter beer mugs. I usually hate the top foam, but it is a must have when drinking from the mugs.

Damn, my liver needs a break. Will have just one Tiger(Vietnamese) beer tonight.

    You are drunk.

When does buying something on sale equal "cheap as possible"? More like, finding the least expensive of the high-price brewskis.

I prefer my local micro-brew. I also drink Yuengling and Lionshead at home. But my primary poison is Berwick Brewing Company. Brewed and served in the same building :D

Lightman can vouch for it :D

Guinness is the best, but the Irish ladies might prefer a Harp and lime.

Once you've had a few, all beers taste the same right?

I like the Dupont Saison farmhouse Ale. Very nice stuff!

I also had the Rogue Russian Imperial Stout on Nitro draft the other day and it is fantastic! http://www.rogue.com/beers/imperial-stout.php

You may want to try some Kronenbourg 1664 for a lager. Very good stuff. Find it here: http://www.k1664.com/

I'll have to think of some others, but the above are definately worth trying out.

I'm on my yearly octoberfest kick right now. Local place has an endless number of them it seems. One beer I had not too long back that I really loved was a beer from Lagunitas called Little Sumpin' Wild Ale. The sell Little Sumpin' Wild and Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale, but the Wild is better IMO. They use wild yeast to ferment it and it's an amazingly smooth, full flavored beer. And it's around 9% alcohol so it'll get you happy real quick!

Victory Brewing is also in your backyard if you live in PA.

If you really want to experiment with beer, you should look into home brewing. Easy to get into with extract kits and you can be up and running your first batch for under $200...

    It's worth looking into!

I have a fridge full of abita from the Key West brew fest last Saturday, which was really nice after coming home from beer school last night. My next batch of beer will be a style similar to Stella Artois.

I never tried the lemon in Sam Adams, but I'll try it. I also love orange in Blue Moon. My favorites tend to be Sierra Nevada, Becks for day drinking, New Castle, Blue Moon, Guinness, Anchor Steam, and anything by Samuel Smith.

Yeungling is my starter beer. I then move onto Pale Ales in general.

I did have a Yeungling Oktoberfest on tap yesterday that wasnt bad. Not too different from regular Yeungling, maybe a bit more malt.
