Oooo mrh, you're giving me some major wood with that H/K deck. You are very correct on the Quads, everyone should give them a serious listen, I'd love to snag a nice pair of ESL 63's, with the right music they're heavenly.
My buddy sitting waaaay too close to the Logan's, I moved him back 20' and he started to cry, no pic of that not pretty

Not my system. My system for HT is 2 B&W CDM7 for fronts,2 CDM1 SE for rears, and a Polk center channel for the moment. For a sub I have been switching back and forth between a DT Trinity,DT SC1,and a couple others seeing which will be the best match. Looking for a center channel that will sound good as I do not like the matching B&W center channel.Everything matters. That is all.

Those plants in Mr. Face's twitchin' still life look... familiar... somehow. Something from the 1970s... umm... funny... I can't seem to remember.
Do we have any Doritos?

Unlike me, he is a good photographer.
Here is his latest piece of hardware (you can kinda tell we're related).

Heh. Picked up one of those last year at my favorite emporium, remarkably enough. Not in fab condition, but not quite a goner, either. It has the typical Zeiss "acne" on its chassis, under the leather(ette). My son's 'new' rangefinder is a Leica 3f.
Heck, that's not audio related is it? Back on topic...
Gave this guy away last year to the fellow from whom I procured my 604Es (sort of a thank-you). -
Here are a few pictures of my setup...
1st pic: Shows the A9's after I initially set them up. This was also before I removed the brass jumpers and bought the Carver.
2nd pic: Shows my DIY cables. Monoprice 12AWG with Banana Plugs. Waiting for some spade clips to attach on the end of the jumper wires for cleanliness.
3rd pic: Was snapped on the 2nd to show current setup. Since this pic I have toed in the speakers to form the listening trangle and am contemplating moving my Velodyne's behind where I sit as there is a space behind my couch that's 13" deep and probably 50+ inches wide. Planning on stacking subs behind there to balance out bass from the fronts also giving more room in the front for my A9's. Eventually I want to get rid of them for something bigger as now they can't keep up with the A9's under power.
You can (hardly) see my gear clearly (stupid Blackberry camera) but NOW you can see the Carver next to my Elite. HTPC below the Elite and my Digital Cable box and external drive below the Carver. Display is my 52" Sharp Quattron 920 Series.
Must take pictures with my Canon to get something good! -
What center re you looking at ?
Not that big of a fan the way the CDMC SE speaker looks. Wish it was more traditional looking like most centers. I will get the best match staying with this speaker but I have a few others at my disposal to try out. Local to me is a Snell LCR7 XL and a Aerial Acoustics CC5 that I may try out. Have not seen the AA center in person but the Snell I have. It is a big **** center channel. IF I could get it to blend with the B&W I have now, I may seriously consider it. In no rush really, the Polk center is ok for now even though I have to boost it up by +4db to equal everything out up front.Everything matters. That is all.

Seems like no matter what center I have I end up having to boost it a little , maybe its my layout or I am going deaf -
back in the day when speakers were gigantic, over sized, over weight and in everybody's way all the time! in another life, I grew up then. I'm not all for these itty bitty "slim line" type speakers i can't see. I have a hefty size pair of Cerwin Vega's I love. they are the pride and joy of my home theater setup I bought out by the road. I want Big clunky loud speakers with big giant drivers in them. I want a pair of these for my home theater main speakers and/or surround speakers:biggrin:Home theater:

Those Bozak thingies are nice... that's not a model/cabinet design I am familiar with - e.g., not Concert Grands (are they?).
Also, that Mitsubishi/Diatone woofer - isn't there also a photo of it with a model standing next to it (for a sense of scale)?
Fostex still has a nice 31.5 incher... little pricey, though...

No, those aren't concert Grandes, I need one of those for my center speaker:) I don't know the model of those speakers, they just look awesome! and there is a pic with a model but that's a Mitsubishi subwoofer. I"ve seen that driver, it's like the ones used in Electro-voice patrician II right? I haven't seen many pics of them.Home theater:

It's about the same size as the EV driver, but the Fostex is still (ostensibly) in production. The Fs of the 30" EV driver is pretty high - I didn't actually look at the Fostex's specs - but they're available on the madisound website.
