Looks like we're going to get some more, starting Monday night and finishing Wednesday evening. But, I have to love how inexact they can be in their forcasts...

"Freezing rain or snow in the morning...then freezing rain or snow or rain likely with a chance of sleet in the afternoon. Additional light snow accumulation."

Sooo... let me get that straight... there might be a chance of some precipitation Wednesday evening.... but you're not sure what.

Sweet! Fixed a broken fuel line on the tractor, tightened up the chains and put the weight tray on the back to help with traction on ice! Bring on the snow, I'm ready for it!

No ice though. That breaks power lines and I don't need that hassle.

I'm ready for it. Went out and widened the driveway just in case we get a pile of snow. I use my 650 prairie with 54" plow. I have 750' of driveway and 3k+ to put a blower on the front of the mower, not an option.

1-3 inches isn't being "dumped on".

The freezing rain though, that's mostly an East Coast thing and it's no fun because it basically coats everything in ice. Like power lines and trees. It looks pretty but the ice can double the weight of a power line in an hour and snap it like a rubber band. Especially if it's windy. Trees splinter and split, most times they fall over or drop giant branches on things like cars and houses.

Most of it will be gone the next day because the weather will warm up. However, it only takes a couple of hours to cause serious problems. I'd rather have the 8-12 inches of snow that the equivalent of 3 inches of ice would bring than the ice.

6" or less isn't even real snowfall up here. And so far most of out falls have been in that range. It's been a light winter in N.N.England? A bit of cold recently...but somewhat below normal snowfall....because all of you mid-Atlantic boys and girls are getting all of our snow. This is a pattern that I've seen before a few years ago. Where Pa., NJ., N.Y, etc. got dumped on and the storms blew off the coast by the time they got to us?

I'm not complaining! We have your storm tracking up here by Wed?

We are getting 1-3 inches more , O how nice. I should just move to Alaska or did Alaska move to me?

I so hate the snow. Every year I hate it more and more. Years ago I didn't understand why so many people around here moved to FL for retirement , now I understand.

Call me when your forecast says 15-20inches... 1-3, i don't even call that a dusting.

I have to somehow rush home tonight, barrow the neighbors roof rake, clear whatever i can by moving my ladder around the house in 3' of snow to make room for more crap! I think i heard my rafters weeping in pain last night......or it might of just been all the ice dams.

I CAN SEE GRASS!!! It has warmed up some and lots of rain(flood warnings and watches)now we can see the ground for the first time since December. Hopefully mud season won't last too long, and the basement doesn't fill up!

Yep... rained all day yesterday.... no snow on the ground anywhere. By 11pm it was snowing heavily... woke up to 4-5" on the ground this morning. Glad I didn't put my shovel away yet.
