Calling for -4* tonight in "towns and cities"... and -10* in "deeper rural areas". I'll be lucky if my truck wants to start tomorrow AM.

As for snow, they're still not calling for much this week. We've only had ~6" since the beginning of winter. I'm sorely disappointed...

They say we could get another foot of snow mid-week, on top of the 2+ feet already on the ground from the last month. Oh, and tonight, as nadams mentioned, is supposed to get into negative double digits. Hooray winter!

I leave for a snowmobiling trip this Saturday, so I guess I can't complain too loudly....
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I wanna move out of here. This cold is driving me crazy. Bring on the spring , I can't wait to take my jacket off and get on my bike and ride the trails. I'm so sick of being cold , wet and salt dirty on my truck.

This winter sucks **** , not even a good snow storm just messy s$%&&y snow. What like 20 inches is supposed to fall on Wednesday? I want to book a flight out to LA and stay there for the rest of the winter. I'm sure I can get work out their.

The forecasts still say 50% chance of snow here in mid-pa for Wednesday. Nothing to get excited about.... we've missed all the big storms this year! Guess I need to move further east if I was some serious snow.

i hate the below zero temps more so than the large amounts of snow...

although.. we were up to the mid 40's today.. and should be near there all week... winter here is about 60% over.. we could still get dumped on in Feb, March, though. ugh!

Cool, tell me about your snowmobile trip. I haven't had my machine out yet because of so little snow in this area. Loading it on the trailer and driving out 2 hours on Wednesday to an area that has more snow.

No more snow please....i have 7' mounds at the end of the driveway that i can't see past with my truck. Makes leaving for work every day a gamble for my life.
Still the snowblower hasn't worked all winter and doesn't show a sign of wanting too either.
Luckily Sam Adams is a form of currency where i live and my neighbor used his to clear my driveway.
-6 Degrees this morning and my truck has a stuck thermostat meaning no heat until 10 minutes down the road.....wow

Outside Boston we've had 37 inches so far this winter and my wife has been running the snow blower and shoveling the walk since I can't get out of the house. We're thinking about moving further south when we retire. It was 6 below this morning and the wind chill is supposed to be pretty bad today (high of 12).

Well...as of last week everyone was talking 'Blizzard'. Now, for the Philadelphia/Lehigh Valley area they are saying wintry mix and a high of 38 on Wednesday. I have a feeling for that area, we are going to miss the big one (Thank God).

Car thermometer read -10 F in Littleton, MA on my commute to work this AM.
Now, I realize that this is balmy if you're used to winter in, say, Minnesota - but it is cold for here in New England. I am very pleased with the vigor of my new car's hearter, though.

Now Wednesday. Wednesday is a crapshoot. As of yesterday, the forecast sounded like an out-take from The Revelation of St. John the Divine ('cept no locusts nor **** of Babylon).

I was in shorts...under my pants.

I was going to take the motorcycle out yesterday, it was in the 60s, but it started raining. Now I'm going to have to wait til Wednesday when itll be sunny and 60*. This weekend might even warm up to the low 70s on Saturday:biggrin:

I hear ya. Everytime I get my car good and cleaned up, we get another dusting, which leads to yet another salting of the roads...

My car showed a temp of 11 degrees when I started it this morning; definitely tired of the cold....

My car almost didn't start; I think it might be time for a new battery. Even when it's just below freezing it's pretty weak, but this morning, at 14 below (in NH) I was amazed that the Subaru fired up.

I hear you there... my battery is plenty strong, but my truck cranked long and slow this morning. So cold, I even let it warm up for a minute before I left.

Every 2 to 3 weeks I have to take our garbage bag down our dirt lane to the "blacktop" where it will be picked up later in the day....no problem normally. But, this morning I got the truck started and could not keep the windshield clear so I had to hang my head out the side window to see where I was going. Now I know what a 15mph wind chill feels like when it's around 5 below!....tears streaming down my frozen cheeks, I think my dog got a kick out of it.
