Is White Bird on that album? I only have it on a European "greatest hits" album, so I don't know its origin. It's a **** of a song, though.

another debut album from a group that underwent many changes, some shrouded in mystery, some breakups along the way, both personal and professional, fininacial disasters, then to the fore front, fame, wealth, and stardom for some.

What was the first Uriah Heep album?
I was totally going by memory of the times when I presented my list.

I've seen a couple excellent ones posted here. I would agree with:

Blood, Sweat and Tears'-"Child Is Father To The Man". This is the only album you need by this band. Phenominal album!

The Jimi Hendrix Experience-"Are You Experienced". Nothing needs to be said about this one.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Though there is no doubt The Beatles are truly one of the greats, I don't think their first lp really stands out. It was unremarkable at best.

    A lot, actually.

I agree, while I love the Beatles...the early stuff is pop. It took them a couple of years to really come into thier own creatively.

And I disagree. I also love the Beatles, and also much prefer their later stuff. However you feel about how deserving potential one-hit wonders like LAdy Gaga may be of appearing on this list, this album, in its time, was everything that Lady Gaga's debut album is, plus it has passed the test of time - more than half of the songs still get airplay nearly 50 years after it's release. Add to that the greatness that followed, and I don't know how you could say that it's not a great debut album.
