Congratulations on your succcesful surgery, keep pluggin' and chuggin'.

....speaking of plugs..... you do know that those electrical outlets in your room are hospital grade which is the same thing as audio grade ? They would make nice souvenirs, IMO.

    Again, congratulations !

yeah, i know that but they tend too frown on that....and going to jail is something I would rather pass on...

Getting discharged this morning. Ate some breakfast, took a long nice hot shower (not the best since the hospital shower isn't really that comfortable) and now relaxing in normal street clothes.

Surgeon seems to think I am recovering quicker than normal and might feel up to going back to work sooner than 4 weeks. Said I can do just about anything but I am gonna feel super fatigued so I will be taking lots of naps. I figure I am going to take my sweet time on recovering and make sure I dont go back too early, so I am going to take at least 3 weeks off (which will correspond with an appointment w/ him anyway) and more than likely the full 4.

The wife is gonna let me keep the bearded look a little longer so I can answer my question of whether it would ever look good on me at all....so thats a pretty big win....More than likely I wont like it anyway (gonna try the goatee look as well), but its always good to have the answer to a "what if" question like that....

AWESOME NEWS brother!!! Take it nice and easy and work your way back up to normal.

BTW I've been sporting a beard going on 12 years now either full (but close cropped) or a goatee and don't want to go back to the old, just mustache look. Keep it nice and trimmed and well shaped and it might just grow on your lovely wife.

I used to call that a "roach!" LOL! I had the Frank Zappa look for many a year but trimmed things down, ESPECIALLY since my beard is now almost all grey!

BTW How'd you like that Louie Armstrong vid? . . . it was just so appropriate with all the smiles I couldn't resist.

Best of luck and speedy recovery. I've had stomach issues all my life and they are never fun and really can wear you down. I hope the best and that you are in the 50% that don't need the operation again.

Nice gear and hope to see you sometime down the road if we get the Midwest meet thing going!

Ya know Joe, if you shaved off the mustache & beard you would instantly look 10 years younger!

+1, if he wants to look as good and as young as me, he has to get rid of the old dirty greyish bush :tongue:

. . . and ten lbs heavier! There is beard dye or mustache wax which can blend the grey into salt & pepper which would match my hair thus reducing the appearance of age.
