    Thanks Ted,

I think we'll need an entire suite, my daughter would be coming too? This also reminds me of when a number of us almost got thrown out of a suite in a Hilton in D.C. because we were 'partying' too loudly in a suite that our association had paid for for that very purpose. We had three visits from security and then they just opened the bar for us in the lobby?

If you only had two day's I would do only Disney and don't worry about everything else. If you didn't do two in Disney I would feel you missed something, If you did anything else you would feel you missed Disney.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, DJ, that helps. We'd probably come in Thursday late, or Friday early and leave Tuesday late or Wed early so probably hit Disney as you suggest. That makes sense. Now to the planning and budgeting!

I'm referring to your statement above about trying to make a week of it and take in Epcot etc, Sal. In other words, I'm following your lead and thinking I might try to do something, along those same lines myself.

That you had a good idea there!

I like Hollywood Studios the best, but if you want the classic Disney theme, then it would be the above for sure.

If a few people from Texas wanna get together, I'd be happy to drive. I'm sure we can fit plenty in my Yukon XL, or even pick up a U-Haul. If not, I guess I'll just be flying and shipping minimal gear.

    Hi All,

Colleen and I thought that it would be fun to have a Holiday Dinner for those in the Orlando and surrounding areas; and to add to the fun we can all bring our "Better Halves". The thought is that we all get together on 11/30/07 Friday evening. The time and location are still undecided, suggestions are welcome.

    Anyone game?

That's the great thing about Florida. Even if it does rain it will usually be beautiful most the day, a storm will blow in, unleash hell on us for 40 minutes, then clear up and the sun will be shining all over again like it never happened. Been here 20 years and still can't get over how bizarre that is.

I'm 'really' trying to make this...but logistics and timing are still in flux? Would be my first trip to Florida. My wife has already been there. Now if I can only convince her that she needs to go again?

How about a real estate tour? We're in the market for a retirement home (probably wouldn't actually move in for another 13 years or so?) but the market is good for buying 'now'. Could be a strategy on my part. That and the fact that my 13 year old has never been to Disney, etc.

    Fingers crossed.

No you don't. The housing market in Florida was in a big bubble. The same houses are cheaper today.
