^ Wow Mole, that was some constructive input on your part
Googling on the common ground amp situation with the adcom doesn't pull much up... its a 5 x 150 into 8ohm amp or 5x225 into 4. Any other way to figure this out? -

Larry is good at that... I saw the light when I walked into his living room. If you ever need directions to his place just roll down your windows when you get within 50 miles of the rockies and you will find you way.

You get no SDA effect without the interconnect in place. You're essentially just listening to a regular pair of stereo vintage Polk speakers right now.
Measure resistance from ground to ground on your amp. If it measures 0, the amp is common ground. If it measures open, then your amp is NOT common ground and it is NOT good to use the interconnect.
The interconnect relies on a common speaker ground to transfer the signal across. Keep in mind that there's only two wires in the interconnect. One for the signal going from the right to the left speaker, and one going from the left to the right. The ground has to be common or it just won't work. Internal to the crossovers in the speaker, the grounds are all tied together. You risk damage to the amp or the speakers or both if your amp is not common ground and you use the interconnect.Ludicrous gibs! -
