Hopefully I can attend the next gathering.

btw, a business partner of mine has a ranch where they raise cattle for organic beef. High end stuff for fancy restaurant and such. She is always offering to send me some and I've never taken her up on it. Maybe I can coordinate that with the next gathering. I will be in Europe from April until the beginning of June. Hopefully the next one will be before or after my trip.

Thanks! I certainly enjoy a good listening session on them. Too bad you couldn't stick around for the LSi listening session. The SQ coming from Norm's moded LSi9's was amazing as well.

I bet! Norm, you have a killer 2channel rig too! Though, your cabling could use some upgrading.

I wish we could have stuck around for the "SRT experience" too.

While its still fresh in our heads lets post what could have gone better.
    • More time (tough one).
    • More Polk speakers.
    • More rig's for less downtime.
    • More SRT time (plus SRT nudity as I forgot to ask to take the grill off)
I'll bring my SDA 2.3Tl's and possibly RT55's, as I would have liked to compare them to the LSi9's Assuming I don't try to host.

More setups would have been great.

That was my 1st GTG, so i wasnt quite sure what to expect. I would really like to bring some gear to the next one and contribute a little more.

Yeah, we had more gear scheduled but several guys were not able to make it at the last minute. No blast of them. It's hard to know how to guage how much equipment to schedule. Too much and there's no way to make it all fit in one day; not enough and there's down time.

I think though it would also help for people to make it to the GTG by the start time. Norm and I kind of felt bad getting started with no one else there but by the time 11am rolled around, the day was getting away already.....by the time we had a group there, it was nearly lunch time. Based on my first GTG experience, it is really the committment of everyone involved to an all-day event; getting there at start time and sticking it out through the whole day that makes the day successful and fulfilling. Even if there are 'downtime' gaps, I see those as opportunities for forum members to get acquainted beyond just the online chat.

I'm all for SRT nudity. I almost removed the grills.
Next time, my tube amps will be ready for another shootout. I'll get good tubes in there and make it a contender.

One other thing I noticed is that it would have been nice to have a snack table out rather than having stuff over in the kitchen.....although, the first potato chip I grabbed, I realized I'd be getting grease all over the equipment if I kept eating them....
