    Hey Doug,
Do we have tentative times for start and finish?
I think I saw something a couple of pages back.

My family is up and around usually by 8:30 - 9am. Those who are bringing equipment are welcome to start arriving around 9:30 so that we have some time to haul in the equipment and get things set up. Official start time is 10am and given the amount of things we want to accomplish during the day, I don't think we have the luxury of waiting to start the fun too much past 10am. All that said, I don't want a bunch of time rules making the day inflexible. We'll go until about 7:30pm, do some quick cleanup and haul gear back to cars. I'll need to help get the kids to bed starting at 8pm. I imagine by that time most will want to hit the road and head home anyway.

Last meet, we started lunch prep around 1pm and I think by the time everything was ready, most of us were past the point of hungry so this time around I'd like to try and shoot to eat a bit earlier but if we have enough snacks out, I'll graze all day. There should also be enough food left over from lunch to cover for a dinner-time snack but if you guys feel the need to eat again before heading out, I guess we could all chip in for some pizza or something.

Was trying to think of a way to organize some of the things we want to do so that we're not wasting too much time trying to come up with a plan the day of. I'll start something here and feel free to chip in and adjust order:

    1. Listen to Doug's 2 channel system and swap in some MIT Shotgun IC's. (SDA experience for anyone who's never heard the 'sweet spot')
    2. SDA 1C vs SDA 2.3TL (Mole's) shootout
    3. Setup Norm's LSi9/Parasound rig and test with tube/non-tube amps and preamps
    4. CDP shootout (Doug's Marantz, Norms Bada, Anyone else bringing a CDP?) on the SDA's.
    5. Cable shootout (power cables, IC's, speaker wire)
    6. SRT demo w/ concert DVDs and multi-channel SACD, etc.

This is off the top of my head so forgive me if I've left anything out.

Well, just like there is only one Christmas, there is only one Polkfest 2010 and that took place in New Jersey a few weeks ago, so I think we'd have to go for an alternative name, something like "Polk Festivus 2010"

Yeah, no kidding...one of my explicit objectives is to determine which big piece (amp, pre-amp or CDP) I need to upgrade next, and I'm going to be depending on all you guys to help determine.......THE WEAKEST LINK!

Right on....I'm actually looking forward to the two-hour drive tomorrow morning. Guaranteed to be sunny and warm and, if my past driving experience down to Doug's is any indication, there won't be much on the I-405 at 8am on a Saturday morning. Most Los Angelinos are probably recovering from a hangover at that hour!

    Need volunteers for the following:

ICE box or cooler for putting ice and drinks in. Probably could use 2 of them. I got ICE today.

4 or 5 CUSHIONED folding chairs. I don't want a sore rear end at the end of the day! I have 5 padded chairs here.

Yeah, I think it's time to move them along. I think the in-walls will do justice to the HT. Looking forward to hearing some reference material on them tomorrow!
