But you actually add something. Comedy. (and the occasionally creepy feeling when looking out the windows):D

Well H9, I don't take my self too seriously so you shouldn't either (especially with threads like this one). Go back and re-read all posts and you'll find out that NONE of the posts really brings anything positive to CP. This thread is a typical CP Soap which sole purpose is entertainment (otherwise I would simply stay away from it). Don't simply pick sentences you dislike but look at the big picture, I did learn to respect CP and its members as the pros outways the cons (I've mentioned this in my post to the OP). Fact is also that I don't expect the same respect in return.
Hmmm . . . Brock, maybe I should take a step back and reread TKs posts. I do however think his intentions are good as he has learned how this place works thus stopped his high hat spanking of the forum collective he used to do when he first came aboard.

I have to say what you perceive as cryptic ramblings is a fact IIRC English isn't TKs first language. I think he made mention some time ago that he's a French Canadian.
Right my first language is French but I have to admit my English has been getting better through the years. I also found that when joking around, you also have to think in the language you are using (French and English joking are quite different). I also had training in the US when I was in the military and found that there are even differences between US and Canadian English (that made it a little harder on the French Canuck). I thank you for your back-up but as far as I am concerned if some people don't like me it is fine by me, everyone has the right to make friends with whoever they feel like. I can't find where you have mentioned some in regard of "yes man", you are bang on with that comment, I'd much prefer to get along with everyone but NEVER at the expense of being a "yes man". I find this repulsive and hypocrit so I wouldn't allow my self to display an attitude I despise from others. i like honesty and I will never jeopardize being my self just to please and or to make friend. It isn't just me so sorry! Finally while I appreciate, don't jeopardize your reputation here for me, you are a well regarded member here and keep it that way. If I am seen as a j%^&k by some, don't debate that with your good friends, friendship is too important and should have priority ;)

Well, read between the lines, it ain't pretty. He's backed it off since day one, but there are still backhanded, sarcastic posts in there mostly taking shots at the veteran core here on CP.
The fact that you don't like me from day one is fine by me, I respect that, it is your own right. Lately, there hasn't been much where I feel I could be of contributions since this is the summer and I am convinced you realize summer is usually quiet on most technical forums and thus not as many opportunities to contribute as much to the forum. Many subjects I don't get involved by posting but rather simply reading since I figure it is my time to learn (you have to learn when to shut up and listen at times and honestly I think I can achieve that pretty well but you just don't know about it. I know I had a period adjustment to do on here and I think I did achieve that as well as possible (there are always room for improvement) however, you have to look the other side of the coin and realize that old timers don't make it easy for noobies. This is all fine by me, it is simply part of life and is the responsibility of a new comer into a group to try generate overall acceptance. You always say it as it is and you should expect others to be able to do the same. As pointed I will NOT "Brown noze or be a yes men" to be accepted! While I am not a believer of Bozo lists, I don't understand why I am not on yours if you despise me that much? In anyway, my post is by far from wanting a fight so peace and let's just carry on (yet this thread has been quite civilised, I can say CP as a whole (including me) has improved quite a bit in that matter) ;)
I actually find that the new guy amuses me.
I agree, threads like those are very amusing, entertaining. I look at them as the Soap of CP :D.

    Cheers!

Woodie - keep your post count up. No one actually looks at the number but if you just lurk in the background, "reading" as some suggest, no one gets to know you.

I made that mistake. I was on this board "reading" for, like, 3-4 years and then started posting. About got thrown outta the place because no one knew me. :D:D

Now I'll probably just get thrown out because people DO know me. But, hey, it's progress.:eek:

Jeopardize my reputation!?! Everyone has different views on things, I express my views based on experience and how I see things. . . when I'm wrong, I'm wrong and will admit it. My good friends are my good friends and we don't always agree on things but we remain friends.

This Club has thousands of personalities and there is going to be the inevitable clash but we are all adults here and let it go and move on. Some don't, that's their problem.

Also, if I'm not seeing something and someone I trust shows me the other side of the coin then I step back and take a look see. Most of the time the trusted friend is dead on balls accurate and I am big enough to change my mind and my viewpoint pertaining to practically anything or anyone.

Don't worry about me man, I can take care of myself and have no fear of going against the grain! One thing though, it is necessary to know when to keep one's mouth shut and it took me awhile to learn that here and to stay out of things that don't concern me. You would do well to heed that advice.

However, don't make an **** out of me; as forgiving a guy that I am that will piss me off more than anything.

You point of view on the IL; I used to have the same attitude but over the past couple of years I've found it necessary and a good way to keep my heartburn away. My IL has grown and when I add someone to it I notice that most that are on the IL are gone anyway.

I just recently took someone off my IL. I found he was doing his same nonsense and back on the bozo list he went permanently.

As far as Brock's advice and perception goes, I will take it into consideration and see if he's right because I trust his judgement.

Just passing through . . . period! If the stuff he wants to sell is so good why he doesn't put them on audiogon or ebay instead of torturing us with his condecending, egotistical, babbing, self promoting posts, up to hundred, is beyond reasoning. The only thing I can think of is he thinks we are a bunch of dopes and is going to make a killing.
