I don't see where seeking advice from experts is "abandoning" your brethren. I have been a member of this forum since 2001 and consider it my "home" forum. When I got serious about home theater, I sought advice from the AVS forum. When I got serious about computer audio, I sought advice from the computer audiophile/audiophilestyle forum. I CAME BACK HERE and documented my journeys in those areas in painstaking detail over a number of years. Therefore, "I" found it was possible to seek seasoned, expert advice on topics (that are sidelines in this forum) and not abandon my brethren here. YMMV.
