I have a quad of the D* K6* Valvo's one tube is a bit noisy. I've been trying to replace the noisy one but have had no luck in finding a reasonably priced single or a reliable seller.

In my listening comparison they sound so similar to the 1956/57- K62 D6* of which I have (2) quads, I sort of stopped my hunt. Same construction from 1956 & 57 but the codes are on the side glass not between the PINs.

Still outrageously priced, but a bit easier to find. I did all my tube buying about 12-15 years ago. I can't believe how much prices have sky rocketed for the old tubes (supply and demand). Glad I have my stash and no plans to off load anything at this point.
