Re: My 2024 Polk SDA 2b Modification Progress Thread (Drop1)
I think I will. Veneer might have to come later. It won't take too much work to finish assembly. It hurts to let those XOs sit after all the work I put into them.

Well put those bad bears back together and enjoy some sweet tunes while working on the summer projects (Unless its too much labor).
Note- These are way better than just "back ground" music speakers. We will be expecting you to finish the project when time allows.

I was really skeptical of this product, so much so that I first laughed off even doing the demo.
Then I thought about it and decided; "why the heck not, worst case I waste $20 shipping it off".
Once having it in my system, I simply decided is was doing enough good that I wanted one.
Yes, the pretty reasonable $300 price tag also played its part. If this was twice the price, or more, it's very possible I would have liked it, but never pulled the trigger on buying it.
That was my thought process as well. I ordered the mainstream as well when I ordered the snubway with the thought process if I didn’t like it or couldn’t tell the difference in my system I could return it at no cost. The snubway itself really surprised me.

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
You can spend a small fortune on chips, sweets, soda etc etc etc
The cost of fast food is outrageous
I drink water from the fridge tap, skip breakfast, eat an apple and banana and a full dinner. Done!

Re: Snub Way road test
I think these products are different in that they don’t impart any kind of sound signature, they only improve what is already there. For example, with the Snake River PC demo, a cord that I fully expected to like, and also highly recommended and endorsed by Tom, just did not play well in my system with my otherwise mostly Nordost loom. The SnubWay simply cleans up what you are already hearing in a noticeable way, but it doesn’t add or change anything in the process.

Re: About to unleash the next sda srs beast
There's honestly not much difference, the dcr rating of the standard c coil is so low already, it's just a little bit lower.
Similar, I can't recall what the set Sean's read at but I had no issues driving them with a tri Vista integrated to very high levels cleanly with insane bass.
Polks directive on the sda inductor was the lower the dcr the better performance but harder to drive.

Re: Snub Way road test
The original post that started all of this....
When was the last time I ever endorsed an audio product like this? No review, just a recommendation to purchase it. The answer is not even once. Yes, the cost is relatively not much (in the whole grand scheme of things) but the return?
Tom
Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum.....I am in awe at what this thing does. I'm not gonna get into a long, drawn out review of this thing.
I'm just gonna come right out and say it. You need to order one. Like, now. Right now. Every one of you.
