Re: My deal of the century!
I've had to dismantle and clean old remote contacts. A little DeOxit followed up with 99% iso alcohol.
This was from a Melos SHA Gold headphone amp remote.

When using a vacuum use the air bleed on the handle if so equipped to control the suction. You can tape smaller hoses into the larger vacuum pipe for a smaller surface area.
HiFi Engine had a brochure and 17-page service manual. Sent via email. The SM has test point locations, lists voltages, even covers the remote. Very nice.

Re: Toilet Tank Refill Valves - ARGH!!!
Upper Decker was referenced in 'The Office' as well, by Meredith; she said her teenage did that on occasion
Anyway, attempting to flush the debris out of the valve didn't help; replacing the valve seal didn't help; so, a new Korky FTW! I forgot that I had already put a Korky in one of our other bathrooms, and it has been working well, so now we have Korkys in two-out-of-three toilets. Hopefully, they will last longer with our hardish water around here.
If we ever get around to building our new house, we'll definitely get a full-house filtration system on the front-end...along with a proper listening room
Thanks for all the suggestions!

What say you? Looking for minimal effort as they are already very nice. Maybe a darker shade. They are teak wood, so I do know to use caution.
Any suggestions are appreciated to all. VR3 is doing the crossovers. Old Tandbergs.

Re: What did you do to your stereo rig today?
Took advantage of the rainy day to dust and detail everything, including the cables! Was overdue! Now it's time to sit back and enjoy for a while.

Re: What Are You Listening To? (Part Deux)
I wonder how each of the three above compares to the 2006 MFSL version. That's what I've been listening to for almost 20 years. I like the album, but not enough to buy multiple versions. My vinyl of it is in poor shape unfortunately.
I can report out that the Gastwirt CD sounds better than the 2015 Wilson CD and just
as good as the US vinyl i had. I moved the vinyl along even though it was in great shape.
I finally went and read the discussion at Hoffman forums. It seems that Gastwirt is preferred by most, but the MFSL is a close 2nd choice. I'll probably stick with what I have.
