I just found my Selective Service Card dated Sept. 9, 1973.

I was classified 1-H because of the cessation of Vietnam draft calls.

Authority to induct for the Vietnam War ended in June 1973.

The last ones drafted for Vietnam were in December 1972.

I too remember watching the drawing on live TV, very chilling!

I went to college right after high school, I would have most likely
been deferred anyway, if the draft had continued.

That pic reminded of me of the time I ran an airline through a media wall plate (via bulkhead fitting) for the air bearing tonearm. I had help. Every now and then Jasper would put the bite on the hose at the wall and I'd have to shorten the hose a few inches. No air pressure no air bearing.



I had to cover the LAN cable going to the TV in the living room too. He only messed with the wires on this wall plate. Maybe he didn't like the air noise in the tubing.

I like to listen to music but seeing the artists' movements and facial expressions is indescribable.
