Re: RUSH is Back 2026 tour
At first I was a hard no, but now I see they just want to play music in front of their fans. As long as they honor Neil (and I'm sure they will) I think it's cool. 10 years since they toured and 5 years since Neil's sad passing.
Not to start a huge OT discussion. I do think Led Zep did the right thing when Bonzo died. He truly couldn't be replaced. Zep was equal parts of 4 and with only 3 and a replacement, it wouldn't have worked.
I've heard and seen Jason several times and while he does an admirable job, he's not his father. There is a "swing, groove and timing" thing I've never heard anyone duplicate when playing Zep songs. As great as Page is/was with his riffs and odd tuning and production values, JPJ and Bonham took some of the songs to another level, that IMO, can't be replicated.
I am excited to hear/see some new live Rush and see how it all works out. None of us are getting any younger so let's just do it and enjoy it.

Well Journey was Journey before Steve Perry stepped in, and has been Journey without Steve Perry for what? 3 decades? They have been Journey without Steve, longer then they were with Steve,
I think Journey is doing just fine without Steve.
Also, if they so choose, Steve could rejoin Journey, because he is still alive!!
Neil is dead, so there is no other choice Rush has but to recruit someone else, and again, at one time RUSH was RUSH without Neil, and they will be RUSH again without Neil ( unfortunately of course ) but it is what it is..

Re: RUSH is Back 2026 tour
I personally love what Linkin Park did having Emily on vocals, and now Rush bringing in Anika on drums, I get the no replacing, not the (put band name here) without so and so. But what great opportunities for these ladies. I’m here for it, and I highly doubt Neil would disapprove, I’m betting he would be proud of this pick.
The obvious choices would have been Mike or Danny, this was the better choice for many reasons, Rush fans should be proud of this choice..

Re: Tom Petty - Wildflowers (Limited Edition Numbered One-Step)
I have many one-steps/UHQRs and also have other pressings. Although I have all the Eagles one-steps they are not worth the extra expense.
The Donald Fagen Nightfly one-step is much better then my other pressing. And in my opinion is my most prized record.
All the SRVs/Alan Parsons/Michael Jacksons/Blood Swear & Tears are worthy of the one-step process.
The AP UHQRs - Bob Marley’s and about half the Steely Dans along with Roger Waters and Hugh Masekela are much better than my other pressings.
I would like to hear the Petty but I have not preordered it.
