100%. Can’t wait to get better seating in there and maybe find ways to incorporate some sound panels that pass my wife’s approval.
Room is open on the back to the entry and loft, and on one side to the family room, but it’s the most closed off room we have lol.
It’s gonna take a few months I’m sure and for the most part I’m giving my wife reign over the furniture and decor outside the configuration of the stereo stuff.
Still need to find a good rack as I’m not sure the Salamander I’ve had sitting in reserve matches the wood color of the speakers well enough.
If it does then I’m golden as it’s a S40 and I’ve got spare shelves in another unit I can steal from.

Irving M "Bud" Fried was also associated with (his initials, at any rate) the extremely fine IMF loudspeakers of a similar era.
Yes, I’ve been reading up on him, and nerd that I am, I plan to print out a bunch of stuff I found on him and the speakers and put it in a binder.

That’s awesome!

Re: Polk SDA1 Speakers
BTW be easy sitting then down with the hand dolly. The slightest thump can shift the magnets in those woofers.. The glue around the woofer magnets are 35 years old & brittle

Re: Polk SDA1 Speakers
Yep SDA1c is correct.
Pricing could be 300-600 dollars. If all the correct drivers are in them and whether or not the magnets have slipped, it is a well known issue with mid-woofer drivers of that age. It is also a bonus that you have the pin/blade interconnect cable, those tend to get lost over the years.
It also depends on location and availability in your area.
Just be aware you cannot sell here without 100 posts.
