Hearing Rich's rig is always a treat, but experiencing reel-to-reel was a first for me. Very cool to get a taste of what the format offers, I now understand why it's held in such high regard!
Thanks again for your hospitality, Rich!

Re: Need quick input from the herd...
Hey John. Go buy it if at a good price. Less than 50% of retail is what I would be looking for.
BB is a great location for Mac gear when the price is right.
I doubt the built in DAC is better than yours.
I am going to take a pass on this one and hold out for the C12000 or maybe a C1100 some day in the future. I do have a deposit on the C2800. If anybody wants a crack at it for the bargain price of $5500 bucks, let me know by Monday. This is a rare opportunity for someone to get into the deep end of the pool for a decent price. I will be happy to coordinate the details on my end if shipping is required.

Re: Need quick input from the herd...
That's an unbelievable stance from McIntosh. I'd tell them due to their stance you're going to take your current Mac outside and pulverize it with a sledge hammer while filming, then post the video online explaining the reason. Guaranteed to lose them business.

Re: Darqueknight/ Ray Smith has passed away
This was shocking to hear. I never met him or even PM'd. But like many others I gained valuable knowledge from him from his posts since I was early into this hobby and joined CP back in 2009. I also really enjoyed the photos of his setups which were always so tastefully done with beautiful decor. RIP good sir.

A Southern Treat - Butter Beans in a Biscuit
Have not seen this one before and I am from the South?
Not very appetizing too me.....The article was in Southern Living. I have not tried it, but I do like green Lima beans (butter beans).
One of my aunts ate pieces of cantaloupe in biscuits.
My favorite is country ham in biscuits.
Try ripe cantaloupe with vanilla ice cream.
Surprisingly great combo.
